Winning a trophy would be a launching pad though to greater success in the league it would give us more confidence and belief as well.
I agree the league is the priority and I also agree that if we want to keep our best players that we need CL football. I also agree that Lucas is 3 of our "untouchables" (Reina and Suarez being the other two) so losing one of those 3 for the rest of the season is a bitter pill to swallow.
So I understand your viewpoint completely. However when you don't win anything for 6 years you get desperate when any opportunity arises for silverware, so Kenny took that chance, and I don't blame him for that.
