Getting robbed by Atletico again? They bought him for 20M and he has been quite the flop for them.

This one says 22M plus 5M in variables.MD also said it would be 22.

Must say i'm impressed with the way Robert is operating in the market so far. Seems like they're keen on wrapping up business before August.

So who's going to be our attacking signing in 2016? Dybala is gone. Vietto is gone. Icardi is a no go. Fekir?

Who said he would. I asked what would Vietto offer?

It's a fair question. I'm not entirely sure because I can't believe he was the first option, that had to be Nolito. What we need, IMHO, is a scoring winger ala Nolito. Gameiro provided strength, pace, goalscoring and pressing.

Now he's really a forward or false #9, not a true winger. Plus, not sure what sort of pressing player he is since Simeone rarely used him.

The Pros is that he's super talented, plays a style of game that should integrate well into ours & is still in his infancy as a developing player. Off the bench with MSN ahead of you, either you get a veteran willing to wait for cameos or a young stud who can give something off the bench or rotating matches but not too good that will become a disruption in the squad with paltry minutes.

Not sure there are a lot of options there which is what made the failure to secure Nolito so baffling. I think both him & the poor Alves planning take some shine off an otherwise stellar off season by the board.

Ultimately, we're getting quality depth which wasn't there and still some dead weight to shed which could see another 1 or 2 from either the B team or on the market improve that depth in key areas (RB & winger)

The good, in the end, is that we're adding a quality player along with 3 other quality additions (Digne, Umtiti & Gomes). An excellent summer thus far and first pre-season match yet to have been played, lot to look forward to

No, you created a scenario which wouldn't happen. Neither of Messi, Suárez or Neymar would be subbed being one goal down. The premise of that post is flawed. Your first question was sufficient; what do Vietto bring to the table? And the answer would be depth as already mentioned by another poster.

Vietto doesn't bring anything extra to the table. Munir can do pretty much everything Vietto can do. Only one of them can stay at Barca beyond next season unless both suck and then we sell both of them to chase another striker. Robert is moving too fast imo, all the zubi transfer are well thought out and well scouted. Some ended badly but some did great. I will not judge him until the end of the season though. If all the signings become a successful it would be amazing.

Vietto had an awful beginning to his Atleti career with appendicitis. He was really good at Villarreal and I believe he will impress here.

If this part is true, this will be a disaster. I strongly disagree though, primaarily from the Munir perspective. He is POOR and should not be playing at a club like ours with the level he has shown. Vietto may or may not prove his worth (22m) but I am fairly certain he is an upgrade to Munir.
