Leao might be more flashy on the eye, but Diaz can do the same attacking-wise, and at the same time:
- runs his ass off in the defensive phase of play
- can make off-the-ball movements to receive as a striker similar to Raphina's

Diaz is the perfect transfer for the summer. I was surprised that Deco came with such a level-headed choice.
Liverpool will certainly demand 80m+ for him, so I don't know how feasible it is to get him AND a striker like Isaak or Gyokeres.

But if the Polish tractor doesn't leave in the summer (very likely IMO), we should go for Diaz

But Raphina is not an out and out LW and struggles when placed there.
We need different profiles to control different types of games

Besides, we need DEPTH in every position.
Currently we have no one behind Lamine and Raphina.

Winger Depth is needed, I agree.

Don't want to spend a lot of money just for depth purposes though when there are different positions that I would like to prioritize first.

I reckon what they like most about him is he's a hard worker. But I think they might be overrating his dribbling ability. Whenever I watch him he tries a lot but his dribbles are not a success. His decision making is at the very least questionable. Then there is his age which means we'll have to spend more on a LW again soon.

I don't think he would flop but spending 70m would be a shit move. There are better options. I don't understand why would you choose him over Nico.
