Honestly almost any competent coach would be a better choice than him right now. It's riskier to go ahead with him than to not sack him IMO. He's probably the worst coach right now at a big club. Incompetent decision after incompetent decision. Benching Messi and Neymar off vacation at the Anoeta of all places was the breaking point for me. I'm done with him.

As for who I would like to replace him, my ideal choice would be Frank de Boer. One of the brightest minds in football right now. His team plays attractive attacking football with a clear philosophy. If not him, then Paco Jemez would be second choice. Honestly, this board should have had a replacement in place since November when it was clear Lucho didn't have the chops to coach at this level that he did as a player. His tactics can only work at a small club like Celta Vigo, which they did.

Honestly nobody could do a worse job than Lucho has. It's January and he still doesn't have a midfield that operates.

Look, I was big defender of Lucho but that loss in Anoeta put me on other side as well. But Jemez? like he had experiance with big teams. Or De Boer: what's so special about him. Barca can hire only world class coach with very polished personality(someone like Ancelotti) or club legend who's "been there and done that" so they can deal with our star players and the egos. Messi will eat Jemez for breakfast and won't even fart.

No WC Manager with a very polished personality as you say it will come with the situation our club is in(transfer ban and all other issues).

To everyone who is saying that we should stick with Lucho till the end of the season or some going as far as fucking 2016, you guys remember last season which the great Moyes single handedly destroyed ManU and how long do you think that took? Yeah it took 1 season and LVG is still trying to sort shit out over there. Now ask yourselves, do you want the same with Barca? Seriously?

That's why there's no need to replace the dumb with dumber. Even if they sack Lucho do you think Barto has enough brain to make a decent hire? We have no choice, my only hope that this situation will force early re-election. That's the only positive thing I see right now.

we won't get anyone like Ancelotti, Mourinho or Klopp etc and Pep isn't coming back.

de Boer is an ex Barca player who has done a great job turning Ajax around in the last few years playing the system/style we like.

i'd go for him or Koeman.

For as long as he has been here, we haven't seen a solid system from him yet. Well we have but its shit. We've pretty much been gliding through with individual performances. We've come to the part of the season now where we just can't afford to do that anymore. City could very well demolish us. Atletico is the favorite against us. We'll get by Elche but then its RM or Atletico. I don't see us getting wins at all against teams with decent managers. Not great but decent because Lucho is neither. Anyone will be better than him.

My argument is: this board cannot bring someone successful. If they hire another idiot and they let him go at the end of the season - the damage will be more substantial. We already changed 3 coaches in last 3 years.

Jemez is kinda a shot in the dark but his Rayo side play better football than Barca does considering he gets the most out of his players. I know at the very least, the midfield will operate under Jemez.

I'm not sure we could lure Frank de Boer out of AJAX in the middle of the season but like I said his team plays attractive attacking football and he's a great communicator, very clear ideas.

Any competent coach will do for now. We can reevaluate in the summer but allowing Lucho to stay on will only make things more toxic than they have already became.

I wasn't thinking Koeman but he is doing a great job at Southampton.

Lucien Favre is another coach who seems to get the most out of his players but all the names we have mentioned are better options.

Koeman should stay at Southampton for a longer time. 6 months of good work shouldn't get a you a very tough Barca job.

Favre... Please no.

This really.
