Deportivo, Sevilla, Valencia, Celta and Espanyol in the league.
Bilbao x2 in the Supercopa.
Roma and Bayer in the CL.
Vilanovese in the Copa.

That should be 10.

So here we are. 1 day remaining until Lucho can finally have his 2 signings.
Barca have done their most difficult trips too and if someone told me in August that in January we'd be 5 points ahead of Madrid...

Good times ahead. :arda: :vidal:

Don't get your hopes too high. . . The jury is still out.

I am seeing a pattern being followed in the last 2 years. In the tata martino season we were amazing when the season started, turned shit as soon as the new year came and RM turned beast at that point. The whole year it stayed that way and then as soon as the next year came we turned beast(post anoeta) and RM started losing its gas(went 20 or so games winning just weeks before that). Now the new year has come and we have not won our first match.I am just afraid we will decline and RM get better. Not that we are playing bad or anything or that I expect us to decline but i my brain keeps bugging me time to time with this.

I think the fact that we still control our own destiny at this end of the season with the two A's :)arda::vidal:) able to give rest to key players. For example, I'd like to see Lucho experiment with a front line of Neymar-Messi-Arda to rotate Suarez. He needs rest, he's played a lot of games and if we can't overturn his ban, I think this would be a good front line to try for two games.

With both of our games against the Madrid teams being at the Camp Nou, this gives us a key advantage towards winning the title. While I expect Real to stutter as Zidane adjusts the team to his tactics and just learns the general principles to managing, Atleti have been impressive recently though. That's why I was so worried when they got Action Jackson Martinez. He's starting to shine there and he could cause us some problems when we play them next.

But still, I feel as if we practically have one hand on La Liga with the standings being how they are now and accounting for the schedule of fixtures going forward. We still have to be sharp and if we want the CL again, Lucho will have to keep the players focused and consistent during the Liga matches as proper preparation. But we are only half a game behind Atleti, we have an excellent shot at winning the Copa with big lead now over Asspanyol and Real disqualified, there is a double right there.

As long as we bring our A game against Arsenal (mainly if Busi can back pocket Ozïl which I expect him to), they can't match us for two games and it's going to take a big match from them in the first leg to ensure the second leg isn't just a formality. Couple that with the fact that two of four of our biggest rivals (PSG-Chelsea, Bayern-Juve) will be knocked out for the quarters, if we get through Arsenal, I'd fancy our odds of at least getting to the final.

We are in really good shape to repeat. That would be something truly special.
