I liked the fact that he kept the better players from the first half(mathieu, Alba and TS) for a l'il longer, and in doing so sent a message of meritocracy to the rest. I don't know if he initially intended to keep TS for full 90. But that was good man-management, given the goal was not his fault, and knowing he has the manager's confidence would have really helped TS a great deal.

If Lucho thought Masip could be a serious contender for the #1, then there was no need to bring in Bravo. Rotating TS and Masip would suffice. How is staying on the bench for a fortnight help MAtS? It's about time Lucho decides who even wants to 've as his starter (he's been watching them in training for sometime), and start giving him as much time in the pre-season, so reliable communication is estd between GK and defense before match day 1.
