That ship has sailed, I'm afraid. The amount of dropped points is too high for the 20th round. rm won't slip much, and they also have rfef's and lfp's help. And we're also nothing special.

We've lost too many points it's true, but we still have almost a whole round to play. That's 18 games. If we manage to turn this around like we did 2 years ago and manage to win 16-17 of these games(including the Bernaleo match),we might have a chance.

Remember that last year we had a 11-12 point lead in April and we almost lost it.Real Madrid has a 4 point lead(in reality a 7 point lead most probably) and we are just about to get into February.

We can still do this imo.We just have to step up RIGHT NOW and for good.

Even without accounting for refs it's extremely unlikely that we'd win la liga. Barça would need near perfection in the second half, contrasted with a poor run from Madrid. Maybe 1,2 chances out of 10 ?

But the ref bias just kills any hope. You know RM will win more games that they should drop points in. And Barca will get fucked over on imaginary offsides or what have you.

Not just unprofessional, the guy is just a disaster in every non tactical aspect. He never fully succeeded with a team and always fails short at the end.he handles the players wrong,he handles the management wrong,he has handled every thing wrong.
He is stubborn, arrogant coach who is full of himself. to put him with a team like Barca who need coach who handles players more than anything else will be a disaster.
The guy should never be on any repectful team coaching list, only a desperate team will go for him and hope it will be a reclamation project for him.

Any club should take their time when they try to sign a player so they won't get robbed. they will need to test the water with his agent and assess his market value, you can't handle them a list and then ask other clubs if they made contact?
I mean what if his club actually made contact? what do you think the coach doing that will do for negotiation?and why go behind the back of the club that way? And no club sign all the players the coach wants, that is shortest way to fail.coaches has limited access to watch players in other clubs and don't have the time to scout many players around the globe, yeah he need to have a say about it and it is a collective process but "my way or the highway" thing with him won't work here by any mean. He was wrong even if Lazio wasn't right

What are you talking about? Bielsa might be eccentric but what you said is far from the truth. He is successfully managed Argentina NT for many years, then transformed Chile NT into Latin America most dominate team. He had a successful first season at Bilbao then the club sold key players the second season which affected the club. He finished his contract and left. Then he had two years contract with Marseille but left at the beginning of the second season due to conflict with the managment. This is very common, Pep left Barcelona mainly due to conflict with the board. I'm yet to hear any player complain about Belisa's man-management. We all heard the issues between Pep and Ibra, Yaya, Eto'o etc. Lucho with Messi at one point, with Vidal etc. But Bielsa was loved by his players. If he had any issues with any player, it's just like any manager who can face few issue here and there with some players. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I will take Bielsa over any coach any time.

Bielsa's only negative is the Lazio situation, I trust him to do a better job than Lucho if he left tomorrow.

Miss me with "He's gonna start problems with the players.", he'll probably have the respect of the players and the backing of Messi. Plus, if people want to bring up player treatments and board issues, Lucho is no saint to that.

What? I thought it was common knowledge that many players thought he was weird, in a way that also affected the team badly?
It is quite normal that players don't splash it in the press (unlike Zlatan e.g.), but from what I know he has more than ordinary player-problems..

He is obsessed with football, this dude watched all of Bilbao games from their last season and wrote ALOT of notes and showed it to the players, he's crazy about football.

But, I never heard or read any footballer saying a negative thing about him.

Common knowledge? So where did you get this common knowledge if you say players don't splash it in the press. The only time I heard he had any issue with a star player was with Llorente who wanted to leave the club. So even that wasn't because of Bielsa as Llorente had more issue with the club because they don't want to sell him to Juve.

He's gone AWOL since last night and his relatives are actively looking for him. His son stated he suddenly left the room mid-game after the Doriat goal, never to come back.

Apparently, he bought a ticket for Buenos Aires this morning. Interesting fella for sure.

Gérard Lopez and him are buddies. His close to signing for Lille. And even if he doesn't, not sure Barca would be a healthy spot for him. With all the controversies, intrigues, corruption allegations and biased press, might just be too much for his nerves...

Lucho is like his exact opposite  He doesn't even need a thick skin. Half the stuff, he doesn't even notice. Dude's seems to be in his own :snorkle:

WTF lol

I hope the Argentine NT sign him, he is one of few that might get them the WC. Messi is a genius and deserves such a genius coach.

Various football podcasts, so I'm not dead-sure, but I really got the impression that he had those problems..

You can't have a guy who can one day randomly disappear and quit as a coach for Barca.

And I'm pretty sure most Argentines have another opinion about Bielsa's work for them as their NT coach. @Razor

Whether players have said something against him or not doesn't matter.

People loved Barca in Ronaldinho's time because it was playful and beautiful to watch. It was unpredictable squad, squad of wonders. After that people loved Barca with Messi, Iniesta and Xavi. This was Pep's Barca of full control, for me the best team of all time. And today, today we have MSN and nothing else, we have lost everything Barca in last 10 years had, we are not playing beautiful football any more except when Messi does his magic stuff. We are also not playing team football, it's individual stuff 90% of the time. It's MSN team.

Barca without beautifull football is not Barca. We absolutely need a new manager in the end of season or we will lose our entire identity. I am actually writing this in the moment we are leading 2-0 against ATM. I respect the result and I am happy about it but I don't respect LE type of football. Some people will call me crazy but I can't help myself. This is not Barca everyone fell in love with.

90% of time I have feeling I am wayching Real not Barca and this makes me sad. I don't even want to imagine what will happen to us after Messi retires. :(

We see now how sometimes defensive system and counterattack could be useful but surprisingly we'll see Lucho decides not to use this style ever after this match.
