I like what he said. Every player will need to fight for his position and now we have 2 for each position, even at central defense.
With hard work and all the talent and our disposal there's much to look forward to.

Luis Enrique: "I'm no magician, there's still a lot to improve. The opponents know this team well and we have to look for alternatives."

Enrique invited several players to his office to explain things they need to work on and improve. Pique, Deulofeu, & Messi were some [MD]

Pique and Deu are reportedly set to leave on transfer/loan. This means Lucho wants to sell Messi :tata:

Lucho has got stones, I'll really give him that. I don't like Deulofeu's loan or the fact that Song/Roberto are staying but he knows how to make tough decisions and I just hope that they turn out to be good ones. If he really can get through to Messi then Cules will be indebted. Lucho is showing that he isn't just another pushover, but it's time to prove that his ideas are the right ones.

there is a difference between being tough for the sake of being tough and making good decisions, time will tell which it is.

But for the first time in a long time, i feel we are heading into a season well behind the rest.

I wonder if he will be given another chance if after having his way in all football matters including transfers, he fails to win any silverware in his début season. And then there is also the Arse captain curse he must vanquish. :vermaelen:

Right now I think it was the wrong decision to make him coach. That is because of his decisions in the last days.
Loaning Deu and likely getting an absolute (a bit above) average winger for 40 mil. is absolute bullshit. It is quite clear Cuadrado will come, isn't it? I am afraid of another season without any silverware.

And I know several users here will respond now and try to explain to me that we have Adama and Munir to cover and when Lucho thinks Deu is not good enough, he is indeed not good enough.
Deulofeu is talented as fuck. In order to develop properly and be an important Barca player in the future we need him in our team NOW! Lucho is the coach, so it is his job to make Gerard better. And not loan him out because he does not like his defensive work. That is what training lessons are for.

Considering the young guns. They are part of the B team. It is their job to secure Liga Adelante and not sit on the bench with the 1st team.

Fair enough but I don't think that getting Cuadrado instead of counting on Deulofeu would cost us titles. Fact is that Lucho doesn't seem to count on Deulofeu at the moment and I think that it's logical to loan him out.

We can discuss the Cuadrado transfer and the price tag but I think that we shouldn't bash Lucho AS LONG AS he clearly fails. There are many positive things which happened over the past weeks and we clearly saw improvement compared to last season in recent friendlies. Stay optimistic.

An average winger? Who was joined top assister in the WC?

As a fullback, his quality is very debatable, I agree, but as winger?

Cuadrado is a better player than deulo, currently. But it's not set in stone he's coming, anyway. In 2010-11, MVP started most of the matches, and that's why they were so good. Deulo needs minutes, and he wouldn't get them with Barça. Rafinha will probably play more as rw than as cm, as Xavi stayed. But you also can't forget Lucho rated Deulo, and asked for him to be back from his loan. I think it's clear Deulo did something serious, that pissed Lucho off. Not starting any of the friendlies was also a bad sign. Maybe he didn't mature as thought, and still has an ego and primadona attitude.
