Without him, it would have been pure misery post 2012. Can not appreciate him enough for giving us THE single most dominant season in club football history.
Our streak of CL humiliations started on his watch and his last season was the start of our decline. Most overrated manager on here

Yes, imagine only winning domestic doubles almost every season for a decade, life without a CL trophy would have been rough.

Want to trade LL and CL results in the 2010s?

If not, then shut up and stop over-simplifying. You know full well I'm not referencing the number of CL wins. Rather the manner in which Barca has exited the CL for most of the 2010s. This is about the nth time we've gone through this and it's tiresome because I know you're better than ignorant yet you can't resist a cheap troll attempt in the exact same way, every time.

:lol: I thought you've given up trolling. Bayern 2013 happened before Lucho was even around.

Bayern was a one off sort of. The consistent humiliations started with PSG and Juve in 2017. Recognizing that Lucho was a decent at best manager carried by an all time great squad aint trolling either.

Truly don't get why keep bringing up this point. Never was about the CL trophy , but rather how we keep getting thrashed in the CL.

PSG doesn't count. We won 6-1 too. Juve does count and that was a terrible loss, agreed. And you also have to bear in mind Lucho had a transfer ban after that treble season...if we had managed to shore up the midfield in 15/16, the dominance would have continued. The wheels came off April 2016 because Iniesta and Rakitic began declining rapidly and Busquets turned into the Busquets we know today. Lucho did make a mistake on Gomes but Umtiti was a great signing until he sacrificed his knee for the WC.

He's not Pep but he's above EV.

Good to see he’s probably going to be president again. Hope he brings the club back where it belongs.

I also want to take this opportunity to make amends with the other members here after all the arguments during the Valverde days and after, lets move forward

Edit: thought this was laportas thread, sorry

I do have a point, very few clubs have had such domestic success as you guys did over the last couple of decades, yet it it feels like you dont appreciate it at all.

CL-exits? Sure, some of them have been bad, but do keep in mind that you've went out despite scoring just as many as the opponent(away goals).

Now, the rule is there, but you technically scored as many goals as the opponent in a few of your exits, just saying.

Want to trade CL and LL results for the 2010s? Yes or no? There's your answer then.

And don't extend the goalpost to last couple of decades. This is strictly 2010s or rather post 2012 as per my original post.

Honestly? No, i would not trade the results, but it bothers me that we didnt win a couple more league titles during that time, i really do value la liga.

But going beyond the results, Barca has been perhaps the most consistent side of the last decade.

The two exits against Bayern were of course below the standards of Barcelona, but not all exits are the same, a little bit of luck and you would have made another final or two(Barca taking a couple of chances at Anfield, Atletico matches etc), so its not all doom and gloom.

no, not true. We got humiliated under Tito/Roura vs Bayern in 2013. Yes, we had an interim coach and he was going through cancer treatment but still incorrect with that first sentence.

EDIT: Did not see posts above, my bad

Iniesta exceled in his last season 2017/18 btw. Lucho's signing like Gomes, Turan, Vidal all flop hard. Even MSN could not save his last season though in Laliga it was unfair.
