Bad decision from Valverde to play Suárez who was clearly afraid to get his 5th yellow card & miss the Atleti game in up-coming weekend.

Hell, Suárez didn't even wanted to make any challenge towards Las Palmas players.

Exactly. Suarez was basically a passenger the whole game, apart from the 2 chances. Why not play Coutinho, Dembele or even Paco as a left forward is beyond me.

Messi is more to blame imo, that pass was very poor.

Messi's pass was bad but Suarez could have easily passed it back to Messi for a wide open goal. Shooting when the keeper was in his face was unbelievably stupid.

Hurt his game that he had to be cautious about getting a yellow. He is an instinct-player, and we have seen this before: When he needs to conceal himself a little he plays pretty bad.

Valverde should know this, and to play him last night was quite stupid, especially when Dembele was fit and ready to go, or Paco top-motivated could get a chance.

To make things worse - he is now a lot more tired in the more important game against Atletico, some real bad decisions by Valverde here.

Yeah, even someone like Benzema is actually pretty damn useful for Madrid given to his all-round play despite being shite in front of goal.
