Luis Suárez

Plays well = I'm felling great. I've been pain free for months now. Never better.

Plays shit = It's a tough schedule and I'm fatigued.

Hahahah CL hasn't even started yet and we already have "I should have rested" 2.0 from Suarez.

Just shows we have a yes man in charge, not a manager

You're welcome
I think Suarez is refering more to the tough schedule lately and many games in a small period, rather than criticizing the coach for overplaying him.

Like I said in the chat.

I can't wait for the inevitable Interview with Suarez and he talks about how he should have rested in a certain match instead of playing during the summer when this season is over.

Don't see Madrid complaining about their schedule. And such excuses are just that- excuses

And newsflash- he can always rest in a game or two to stay fresh. Crazy i know.

As much as I think EV has flaws, these veterans players need to know that if you can't give 100% because of fatigue while there are players on the bench who could give 100%, then you should ask for a rest. Yes, I know that players want to play as much as possible, but these veteran idiots need to see the bigger picture. It's clear they still haven't learned their lesson (especially with Suarez who came out after that interview that he should have rested vs Leganes last season) and the fact that they are playing fatigue is harming the team's chances of success. We have a good squad and it's such a waste not to use it.

Why should we hope the veterans come to their senses? What is the manager for? Without cats the mice will rule the kingdom.

Both the manager and the veterans are the problem. I lamented EV for his selection in his thread. EV needs to show the cojones to say that "look you played a lot of games lately and it's clear your form dipped, I need to rest you." The veterans also need know when they can't give their 100%. I'm not saying fatigue is the only reason why we did poorly today, but it's one of main problems and both these players and the manager need to realize that. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm complaining a lot, but with a difficult schedule coming up, we can't use excuses like fatigue when we have a good squad.

So annoying watching him actively drift away from the danger area every time a cross is coming. His pathological obsession with that back area is insane. He never gets the ball.

We're pretty good at putting our fullbacks through for a dangerous low cross, but we never score from them. Now that Alba's cut back to Messi has been found out, it's even worse. The main reason why is Suarez' positioning in the box. Every striker besides him would be hunting front post tap ins and headers when those situations arise, but Suarez nooooo. Worst thing is that half the time, he's crowding someone else's chance for a cut-back instead of occupying defenders in the center.

We need a new quality striker to break up this shit Messi-Suarez holy untouchable duo in our team.
I mean ffs every time you watch a training or half time, those two are by far the last players to enter the pitch, talking and walking like they are on a fucking sunday stroll. And then they continue it on the pitch.
Messi walking is tolerable when he is producing magic, but the team can`t carry two players not defending. Our pressing is pathetic because of that, totally disfunctional and stretching the lines too much. I`m not defending our midfield, but their cover at the front from those two is pathetic.

That's a messy situation. Suarez is like Messi's brother.

I don't see him being mild mannered like Mascherano and Iniesta were when they realised they weren't fit enough to be starters for us.

Great post, if you're playing like absolute dogshit on the attacking end you can at least give some effort helping out on defense. It drives me crazy watching Messi and Suarez give zero effort to try and get the ball back.
