he doesn't need to score bucket loads. just don' fuck up every attacking play and maul defenders into submission + some flicks/nutmegs. griezmann and messi should have enough goals in them to get us out of trouble.

suarez scores more historically and recently than AG. if posters watched a lot of other #9s match in and match out they would have way more appreciation. we are also spoiled by messi's insanity in proficiency and efficiency--but even that isnt enough for some. theybjust dont watch enough of other teams/players highs and lows to have perspective on suarez.

He did step 1 by losing some weight. Hopefully he can find his shooting boots before end of October this year and is willing to be rotated. This is the only way I can see Suarez not being a burden for this team.

Luis was due to return on Monday but opted to start things off today.

Someone quite clearly doesn't want Griezmann to take over that CF spot right away...

The result of finally having someone challenge you for your starting spot. De Jong did it for our whole midfield. If only this were done for a few other players. De Ligt would've been perfect to push Pique. Well, here's to hoping at least Alba is next anyway with Firpo incoming. As for Suarez, he knows. He knows Griezmann has come for his job, and finally that a little bit of healthy fear and doubt, that every one of our players should have, is starting to kick in. No wonder Messi and the rest of the team were so against Griezmann coming. I just hope this type of unwelcoming behaviour doesn't become a habit for every new guy coming. There's enough of that in Suarez screaming at Dembele all the time, but at least he's young and they won't be playing together that long anyway. But this simply cannot happen with Griezmann, who is coming in for max. 5 years in the best years and form of his life, he needs to start delivering pretty much right away, and he needs to have the ample environment to do that in.

EV and this Board created this environment, now it's time to kick it to the curb. Even if it means upsetting Messi in the process. Don't know why it would though. I mean surely the guy knows he can't win shit important anymore if some new guys aren't brought in and his merry band of amigos isn't disbanded. No more CL, no more Ballon'd Or, if it's not done. Although, with EV still here, it won't have a powerful as effect as it should have had, although still strong enough for certain players like Suarez in this case to at least start trying again, which is the least they can do for their 10M+ salary, more than us regular people will see in a lifetime.

Sad state of affairs he now has a bit of competition for his place and he loses some weight. Useless manager and coaches let it happen.

We actually think he's going to be replaced by Griezmann, but as things stand with Dembele, Suarez will more likely benefit from the addition of Griezmann.
