Luis Suárez

He's not getting lean, looked like barely fits into his shirt. He can score those meaningless goals all he wants, but in the end he has 2 CL goals in last 3 years.

How many times have we heard that " He has lost weight... old Suarez is back" on this website? It's never going to happen. He will be as always, hot and cold in La Liga, underwhelming in the CL. That is Luis , these days.

ahhh Louis, Louis de la Pointe du Lac, this cold-blooded immortal killer condemned to roam the dark webs of eternity, each goal he plucks, a petal peeled back ... like a sun-burnt scalp :stoner:

Suárez in his current state and age (turning 33 years in a few months time) could turn into the most lethal sub in the world if he was ready to accept that he cannot/should not be an automatic starter anymore.

Imagine a fresh Suárez coming on with 30-35 minutes left against tired defenders. He would create a lot of havoc and a lot of his current weaknesses would be covered better. A bit like yesterday night.

A much more prolific and more used Henke in other words.

However knowing the mind of an elite footballer like Suárez with his track record for Barça and achievements in his career, such a thing (even though it would benefit himself, prolong his career and help improve our team) would be difficult especially at a club that is currently run by the "club de amigos" clan.

I could see Suárez stay for the reminder of his contract at the club in such a role while being successful. Would be a great thing and do his Barça career more justice than if he left next summer or in 2021, after stinking the place up due to constantly playing whenever ready.

True, but he is probably on too big wages to be just a sub. Better to send him bagging and sign someone else.

He keeps going from looking fit to higuain.
One thing I know for sure is that when he retires he will balloon up to 100 kg.

Only 44 hours ago, he had an almost shaved beard and he had a fresh, shorter haircut on sides, against Valencia:

On your pic he has a way longer hair and a way longer beard (which couldn't grow that much in 44 hours).

So, the pic is either old, or photoshoped or just weird.

There's a thing called manager. Suarez doesn't have to play every time he is fit. He is not 28 anymore. We are acting as if the veterans are managing Valverde.
