Luis Suárez

I am really curious what will happen. Despite me wanting Suarez to be replaced, his goals in the league are and have obviously been vital for us to secure the title.
Looking forward to Griezmann as a striker and how he will be able to combine with Messi. Just curious in general.

I'd like to think that when (if) we get a new manager we can play Dembele-Griezmann-Messi or Fati-Griezmann-Messi and actually start functioning somewhat in attack. Instead of "rely on Messi" tactic of Valverde's.

Without Suarez, our chances for any trophies this season are pretty much out the window. Yes, if he can get fit, Dembele will get more playing time, which should fast-forward his next injury.

Probably should switch to 4-4-2 now, with Vidal in the gala 11. The team will have to pick up a Todibo replacement and a striker this month, but it is unlrealistic to expect quality better than the likes of Song and Boatang.

It bodes poorly for a team with this many crucial, older players to go into the second half of the season with so little quality depth. Big minutes for these veterans will almost certainly lead to injuries.

The guy is turning 33 in a matter of days (Oddly enough, his birthday is very close to mine) and by the time he comes back from this major injury, he'll be going on 34. Taking into account just how steeply he declines from season to season, there's no possible way he should ever start for us again.

He'd be guaranteed his starting spot next season from day 1 if Valverde was still in charge but I think we might actually be getting rid of him, which would solve both our Valverde problem, and our Suarez problem.

It's sad what happened to him. This was probably his last season with us and he was doing his best. I am not saying he should be playing as much as he did, but that is not on him. It's the coacroache's fault.

hope he can get back in time to score couple more goals to become 3rd player on all time scorers list, would be amazing way to say goodbye

He could be finished at FC Barcelona, similar to El Guaje, who also happened to have a knee injury and that was the last we saw of him

Will be hard to come back for him. Either it'll work out fine with Messi/Griezmann in the middle meaning Suarez isn't really needed anymore or it doesn't work out and they will know for sure they have to sign a new striker because you can't only count on old Suarez fresh off a knee surgery.

I could still see him staying another year either way though, as long as he is okay to have a sort of a Xavi 2014/15 role to end his Barca career instead of being a starter.

A blessing in disguise really.

I am an absolute fan of Suarez, i genuinely think he is one of the greatest strikers who ever played football, he's been immense for us in the 1st years.

Sure, his decline was very very abrupt, but by the looks of it he wasn't interested or motivated enough to keep pushing himself.

I feel he became complacent way too early and this hurts his legacy a bit.

Maybe he will use this injury to re-motivate, prove himself he can still get to the top, get that drive he lost somewhere along the way. A top athlete with a top mentality would do that. Will wait and see, anyway, will be a good opportunity for Griezz/Fati/Dembouz to integrate.
