Luis Suárez

so suarez is actually doing what he is supposed to - scoring goals and providing assists. now he is injured, but for you he is the "fucking issue" in our attack.

it's not a "selection of players" you buffoon. it's the attackers that we have at our disposal. for some we paid obscene amounts of money. i was just stating facts.

dembele is brain-dead or injured(useless for us). griezman was clearly not a good fit for us and can't score to save his life(regardless where he played). true that fati and perez aren't at fault, but they start games for us so we can judge their performances, which are not up to standard(maybe they'll progress in the future).

so please enlighten me on how i'm being unfair in criticizing a quarter of a billion worth of attackers who can't even produce fat donkey suarez numbers?!

Fuck you really are an obtuse cunt. I didn't realise that the valverde stint made people so apathetical to falling away from being a genuinely elite team. Do you really think that pep or klopp would play with suarez up front just because he can sometimes finish? Do you think they would be cool with a forward who continually destroys attacks misses easy sitters but scores the occasional screamer?
Do you think that they would rely on a forward who has scored 5(?) Goals in the champions league over the last 3 years?
Truely elite teams don't rely on a past it overweight toxic striker who can barely control a football.
You can highlight and criticise who ever you want my point is and has been from the begging was that other players being subpar don't excuse saurez from being so as well.
It's late and I cant be bothered simplying it anymore than I already have.

We are toothless upfront without a real striker, much like the 2013 Tata days, prior to the arrival of Suarez.
And with a 7 years older Messi.

Should have signed a striker in the summer but nobody good would have signed to sit on the bench.

Cavani or even Giroud would be a good short term solution.

Just because our attack was a bit disjointed doesn't mean that suarez doesn't kill our attacks, they're not mutually exclusive.
Stop thinking in binary.

I'd rather have Suarez kill the majority of our attacks and score on those that he didn't kill than not having him play for us at all.

We clearly were missing a No.9 yesterday and it will become a even more serious issue in tougher games if we don't figure out any alternatives.

Respekt_III go home mate, you're drunk

Hopefully we can get someone who can actually score for the remaining of the season, otherwise we are looking at no trophies

Everyone wants the perfect package but that's exactly the point. The club didnt look for someone like that or a poacher for that matter. Suarez is still needed until the board looks for a proper upgrade.

How can you not love a guy that screams ' La concha De tu Madre Luissssss ' at himself when he missed a chance in an empty stadium?

That day he went in to footballing folklore and nothing anyone can say can take him out of it.

All the football world thinks Suarez is one of the best striker of the last twenty years.

Instead in this forum only criticism and bad opinions.

This is football!

He was the best striker in 2010's with his 'Pool seasons and his Barca 1st and 2nd seasons.
What is important: WAS. We shouldn't rest oon past achievements.

That said, this season, he was much better than the previous two. Miles more clinical.

he is on par, stats wise, with the best strikers of his age group:

Suarez vs Aguero
Suarez vs Benzema
Suarez vs Lewandowski

sure, his CL record is not that good vs the others, but he is way ahead in assists.

yes he is frustrating and yes he could have done better for us in specific situations(at anfield for example). but otherwise he has been one of the best buys we've made.
should be replaced for next season or kept as a backup until his contract runs out in 2021.

Points of view...
In my opinion Suarez IS one of the best...not WAS...
or better...IS STILL.

I can agree, except for the back-up next season.
We can sell him, but only for a great new striker, otherwise is better to keep him in the starting eleven.

I'm curious...what is the UCL top scorer ranking?
Except CR7 and Leo, clear...

The problem with Suárez that I think many feel is that there are so many situations where he destroys the flow in our game, be it with a pass, bad touch or bad finish. What if we'd have somebody who can hit that 5m pass to keep our game flowing or scoring that easy 1 on 1? There's a gold mine of potential there. Suárez' awareness and understanding is on another level though.
