I don't see how we could pay off his salary in a contract termination and then receive anything from Atletico. That isn't how transfers work. If they pay anything, then we do not have to pay him, unless it is agreed in the transfer that we cover a percentage of his salary for the remainder of his current contract, which afaik is just this season?
