Never a good thing if key players get injured but with his bad form and NT break coming up soon the timing of his injury is not really the worst thing that could happen to us. Hope Paco will use his chance and get his confidence back up where it was at the end of last season.

What's your Best case scenario for this season? We barely finish 4th and the Board gets the boot.

No way we finish outside top 2. The 3rd best team in league is Atletic/Sevilla. We still have a better player than them in every position, everyone is just jumping on a train to say how shit we are, but we still are pretty much better than everyone else..

Atletico can easily finish ahead of this train wreck.

Edit: Also remove Messi from our squad and they CLEARLY have the better players. Especially in midfield.

It's no loss because he's been absolute shit for 12 months now, when he should be at his peak. Messi carried him last season.

Unfortunately we're not Real who have a good squad. They lose Penaldo they've still got good striker options.

Maybe he can use the rest and come back and look like a professional footballer again.

All these players are past it though. They've been flogged to death the last 10 years by club and country and won everything, there's no hunger or energy left and they haven't been backed up by great new talent (only Neymar who saw the writing on the wall and left).

Busquets, Iniesta, Suarez, Rakitic, even Pique look shot. Xavi, Puyol, Pedro and Alves have all gone. Shite like Arda, Gomes, Deulefeu, Paco and Paulinho are meant to replace some of these players, while Real have stocked up with the likes of Asensio, Isco and Kovacic. Neymar was meant to be the future and now he's gone.

The club is fucked for a generation thanks to awful decisions. All we can do is enjoy the final years of Messi at the club. Wasted years for him though.

If we're total shit like we looked in the Recopa, my bet is that we can finish 3rd, though that won't hurt us in the end for the other season ( Top 4 teams enter CL groups directly ).

It might look like 2007-08 season guys.

Last season was like that but Messi's brilliance was worth so many goals and points (and Neymar at times like the PSG game) which flattered an awful team.

Take out Messi and Barca would have a battle for 4th with the current squad.

The only hope of European glory is the Europa League by finishing 3rd in the group.
