Jovics goal per game ratios are a lot better than rashfords (club and country). I think jovic has a better chance to take on suarezs role, and as the non british darling would come much cheaper. I think rashford/agent is just using reasons (barca) to milk united for everything they can, and i think he is a tad overrated.

You consider rashford overrated, ok, at the same time you think 21old jovic who plays in eintracht and you didnt knew nothing about him season ago, can take suarez role, where is you logic in this

Talking points according to MD:

- We are having a hard time negotiating with Jovic's agent on his salary
- His agent has received multiple inquiries from other clubs
- His agent met with José Angel Sánchez, Real Madrid's general director yesterday in Madrid
- Bayern wants Jovic too and Jovic has no problem staying in Germany
- Jovic has concerns about playing second fiddle to Suarez and would like guarantees of minutes

I have seen Rashford A LOT. I can assuredly say he won't be a #9 like Suarez.

I have seen Jovic very little. What I have seen impresses, but yes a little.

I never said Jovic will replace Suarez, that is like a 1/20 proposition (Suarez at his peak is so crazy underrated--he really could have had 2 BdO on merit). However if Jovic can help share the load with a 32-35 year old Suarez that is a good signing, anything beyond that--like becoming a world class #9, makes it a great signing.

Also look at Jovic vs Rashford goal scoring ratios at all levels, and particularly recently. Rashford isn't all that impressive for someone we want as a #9 and possibly replace Suarez.

He will cave on the demands of minutes. None of the 3 teams in question can guarantee him playing time with the strikers they have. Either that or he will go somewhere like Chelsea, or Inter. If they can meet his wage requests.

His wage demands should be reasonable. First you prove yourself at the big level, then demand big bucks. Not the other way around.

You forgot PSG, they also need a Cavani replacement. And If he gets hyped much, they'll be all in for him.

Imagine if the same report came for Rabiot.
These points would have been interprented this way:
- We are having a hard time negotiating with Jovic's agent on his salary (Rabiot's mother is a snake. We don't want her nowhere near our club. What a snake.)
- His agent has received multiple inquiries from other clubs (His mother is a snake and is only looking to get the highest wages, she doesn't care about Barca, she only cares about money.)
- His agent met with José Angel Sánchez, Real Madrid's general director yesterday in Madrid (a snake looking for money, a disgrace. She doesn't care about our club, history or her son's career.)
- Bayern wants Jovic too and Jovic has no problem staying in Germany (wtf, does he even want to come to us? We don't need players who aren't 100% devoted to us before coming, like Dembele, Coutinho, Arthur.)
- Jovic has concerns about playing second fiddle to Suarez and would like guarantees of minutes (what a crappy losers mentality. He doesn't want to come here and fight for minutes. What a spoiled brat/kid. We need true warriors, not whiny bitches.)

BBZ, clever and accurate.

I am not sure PSG and Cavani have an intention to split at the moment, plus they already have the top young #9 prospect in the world in Mbappe.

For Bayern he really only makes sense for them if Lewandowski is gone, and as far a I know the only possibility for him outside of Bayern is Real.

For Real, see above (Lewa). Real could also get Jovic for being willing to pay more in fee or salary than Barca or Bayern, but Real also isn't in the
business of guaranteeing anyone PT, and they still have Benzema.

To me Barca is the best fit all things considered--a big salary, pretty clear road to be the #9 at a world power, plenty of current opps, and yes having pressure but also have supportive teammates who will want him to succeed, and the best playmaker in the world to help set him up, and the cleverest #9 of the past decade to learn from.

I guess I still like our chances IF he is truly our #1 objective, and of course less than handful of people truly know this, and a good organization keeps it this way until it is a done deal or wants to distract competitors from their true intention.

BBZ8800 and fans of Rabiot’s on this forum: Until Jovic and his agent start displaying the level of obnoxious self-appreciation (“I am too good for XXXXX”) that Rabiot and his mother have shown in the past, I will give him the benefit of doubt.

I mean, it was widely reported before we signed De Jong that we were offering Rabiot a 10m sign-on bonus and an outrageous 10m post-tax salary, more than what he deserves yet he still did not sign with us when they had the chance. Why? Of course they wanted more.
