How can that team not win the french league?! EASILY the best XI in france imo that team. Bastos is the nuts he is going to be a very special player that man. Lisandro is top quality, Govou has been a 7/10 8/10 player for years and years, Pjanic and Kallstrom are very good and Makoun is a very good DM. Cissokho is a class left back and Toulalan and Cris are good. Lloris is a very good GK.
So overall Lyon look very strong.

Cause Toulalan is not a CB for starters ? and Govou is average @ best ... how he still get games is beyond me.
they need another winger to replace Govou and a proper CB considering Bodmer & Boumsong (First choice ) injuries leave them short @ the back
and someone to replace the young Pajnic who is excellent but there is no substitute

I agree, Sidney Govou is not regular, but silll we need him.
And We have Ederson, he can replace Pjanic. I dont really Like Makoun but he is a good header.

Didn't realise Toulalan could play CB! With no Torres tonight though he's unlikely to be tested that much. I think as long as Lyon aren't wasteful in front of goal they'll come away with at least a point. An early goal would really hit Liverpool hard as well given their current form. Should be a cracking game though.

Lyon is a good team, but they need a world class CM/AM and maybe a winger - than they have a team that can not only compete in CL but also win it. A player like Gourcuff would do it =) Makoun and Toulalan are definitively top 10 DM's - against tougher teams like Liverpool I would play Toulalan on DM - and Makoun and Pjanic on CM. But they have injuries on their other CBs so Toulalan is doing a 'Yaya'. Makouns style is a little like Melo, but he doesn't suck - maybe more like Keita than =)

Toulalan Yes but not Makoun. Only thing i like from Makoun is that he is a great header.
We have Pjanic.
But yeah i agree that we need a world class player.
And a draw is ok for me xD.

Maybe not worldclass, but a very solid future prospect. Pjanic is for sure a super talent, but you need 1 more and Källström is playing his best football atm - but it's not enough and he's got nothing more to give. I would look at players like Hamsik, Muntari or maybe Hernanes. I mean, Muntari doesn't play a lot in Inter and he would be just perfect for you. Hamsik is quality and Hernanes looks very good but not yet tested in Europe.
