I've already said it I could see Mbacke's longterm future at RB. Was pretty good going forward when given a chance.

Not sure he has what it takes to make it in our first team or he's type of RB Flick wants though considering we are linked to Frimpong. But versatility never hurts (just ask Roberto). That is also true for Faye if he can prove to play as LB besides CB.

Good deal, I hope he joins first team in pre-season, he deserve a chance there tbh during Araujo injury. He is like an Araujo clone

Definitely but think there is a plan to give him some first team minutes this season and potentially promote him next year. Didn't see it reported anywhere but I think that optional two years probably only kicks in if he's promoted. Or more likely we'll give him first team exposure to increase chances to sell him for bigger profit. He's a bit older and close to his ceiling but no doubt PL clubs will like his profile.

Could also be insurance policy for future. Right now we have a log jam at CB but in two years Araujo, Christensen, Eric and Lenglet will all be out of contract if they won't be sold before so we'll only have Cubarsi, Faye (he'll probably be gone long before that too) and Kounde (who could leave as well or be fully transformed to a RB) under contract. So makes sense to be prepared and have some internal solutions ready just in case. At least as a depth piece.

Story says Serie A interest. I assume it's low level, if any, like the Marlon move.

It's weird though that I only seen Fall in the third division yet trust his characteristics move than Eric defensively.

But reality is surely Villarreal would have signed him if there was high potential.

So signing for 1m [+ sales%] and selling for 4/5m would be beneficial seeing as Laporta ate all the finances.

Good news.

Although overall I think we did ok defensively and are more missing a scorer like Pau Victor (hopefully Ivan Cedric will start to bang some goals when he's fully adapted) but OTOH we conceded 5 of the 7 goals so far this season very late in games.

MD1 vs Real Irun, conceded in 90th for a draw
MD2 vs Andorra, in 86th to lose
MD4 vs Unionistas, in 74th and 90th minute to go from a winning position to a loss
MD7 vs Sestao River, in 81st minute for a 2-1 but then luckily scored in 90th to earn a point

Could be in playoff positions if not dropping so many points.

Probably lack of concentration and tiredness in young players so will be good to have Mbacke's leadership and experience back.
