Pretty much have to give it to the attacking trio down the right in the first half- if a goal was going to come, that's where it was most likely to break through (in fact it did; Alexis made an excellent run/finish that was called offsides).
1. Messi - still looks to have some malady affecting his endurance, but nearly able to break Elche down a few times
2. Alves- kept the ball on the ground for the most part, good interplay with Alexis and Messi, and some key tackles breaking up Elche counters. Best game in a long time.
3. Sanchez- most likely to score or assist. Not every risk paid off, but worked hard against tight marking.
