Semi-Neutral

Sir Alupp Heynrguson
1. Alves-Involved in most of our attacking play, constantly got balls into the box, on a day with better crossing and worse GKing (Messi header) would no doubt have gotten an assist
2. Xavi-Constantly on the ball, pinging forward long balls and distributing short passes equally well, looked a class above Espanol's midfielders
3. Busquets-Although his passing and dribbling wasn't as perfect as it normally is, he shut down almost all of the play through the middle with quite a few interceptions, and performed his defensive duties very well indeed.

Honorable Mentions

1. Pique-Won every single aerial challenge he competed in, looked calm and collected in the back and another good, solid performance from him.
2. Neymar-On and off throughout the game, but his flashes of quality along with his brilliant double nutmeg assist was enough to get him a spot here.

Barca-Espanyol
Neymar (was the biggest threat for the opposition with his unpredictable decisions)
Pique (won many aerials and didn't let Espanyol score)
Alexis (worked hard, scored the winner, good off the ball - typical Alexis this season)

Alves? I was about to go to his topic and rant about him being the worst player on the pitch o_0

Bad display from the whole team overall. They were lethargic.

Why? When you look at Montoya, who delivered maybe 2 total crosses and 0 accurate ones, Dani's statistics aren't so bad. Also, Espanol only had one real chance due to a slight misjudgment, I think Dani did his defensive duties quite well. And attacking wise, he got the ball into dangerous areas more than anyone else, probably more than any two other players; even if 4/5 of his crosses were to the GK or out of bounds, the 1/5 of the crosses that were accurate could have resulted in goals, something very few fullbacks in the world provide.

1. Xavi - Amazing passing . Some of the long passing that was made by him today was just beautiful.
2. Neymar - A constant threat.
3. Alexis - Not a brilliant game, but he worked hard and he scored the only goal.
