This was clearly the Pedro & Cesc show. In the second half, they combined constantly with each other, looking for the 4th goal, which they finally got.
1. Pedro- deadly, no easy tap-ins, made sure his shots counted, involved in all 5 goals. Probably missed out on a 4th goal going for the chip again instead of slotting it hard past the keeper.
2. Cesc- finally figured out his best positioning on the pitch to take advantage of Getafe, and was influential from then on.
3. Iniesta- the midfielder trying to insert a level of calm and provide the midfield linkup play made difficult by Getafe's press and Roberto's poor reading/positioning.
Actually a shaky performance, sorely missing Xavi. Barça often moved the ball into positions in the midfield where Getafe outnumbered and dispossessed them. This was due to Getafe pushing forward to cut off passing lanes out of the back, and Roberto's inability to recognize the closing down. Xavi would have avoided driving into the Getafe gauntlets that Roberto moved into and shifted the ball to safety.
This "2-6-2" formation shows Barça's poor shape (shortly after Tello on for Pedro). It's not necessarily a bad thing to crowd the midfield, but "flatlining" like this is truly awful. This was not the first time in the game there were at least 5 across the middle in a straight line.
