Lev Yashin was such a great player. GOAT. Still rememeber waking up early during my childhood to watch him play. He was so great in the 66 WC. I feel blessed to have watched him play live.

Just saying that Neuer will have to go up against Yashin for that GOAT GK status. Yashin is, after all, the only keeper to ever win the Balon d'Or. Being only 18, I've never watched Yashin play (duh). The only world class keepers I've watched that come to mind are: Kahn, Buffon, prime Casillas, Cech, Valdes, Van der Saar and maybe a few others that I don't remember. Neuer is easily one of, if not the best I've seen play.

I never watched him play. But of course, if it were a list of best goalkeepers of the past two decades, then Schmeichel would be on there.

As someone who has seen Schmeichel play on several occasions, I'd say that Schmeichel deserves to be named among the best 15, maybe even 10 of all time, but definitely not Top 5 material. Even van der Saar was quite a tad better at his peak.
