Well, it's not an uncommon thing that clubs hit a jackpot with signings like we bought a future Euro and WC winner for 3m too. But the funny aspect here is that Barca ruled out signing Asenjo for 3m and bought Douglas instead!!

He still has the kid mentality where one good game or one good goal, or one good assist makes him feel he’s done the job and feels resigned to his bad moments, because he knows the good one will come no matter how late. Has huge potential but need to improve massive. People said without Ronaldo Asensio, Bale and Benzema will have more freedom to play better but nobody of them was able to take the team on his shoulders like Ronaldo did for 6-7 years in his prime.

Well, they're not going to do it right out of the gates in 2 months after playing like they were used to for ~5-10 years. Bale has improved on the pitch, but isn't as good at finding the late-run as Cristiano. Asensio is a mini-Bale type of player stuck to the left wing at most times and almost never operates off the ball. Benzema is nearing 31 and simply doesn't have the body to play any other way than he does at the moment.

Marco is a good player, but needs offensive coaching. Far from a lost cause yet.
