Did he have an injury or something? guy was golden boy in 2017, scored against bayern in semifinal cl, scored against juve in cl final, scored 2 dream goals against valverde's! Barca to secure the super copa, had top matches in 17/18 but since 18/19 he started to decline and nowadays he barely create danger

He had a rocket shot, which you occasionally still see, but he has always been an average player, and wasn't really a starter back then either, always better of the bench.
Asensio is doing fine, he is a limited player and thats okay.

Fati acting like he doesn't know Asensio's had an ACL and has stalled in progress about 4 years ago.
Talent and knack for finding a shooting position 16 yards out is still there in Asensio, but for a guy with this much experience he offers so little. He's no Robben or Messi to make out that this left footed rocket is a regular weapon of his.
I do think he needs a different coach style tho. He's only worked under Zidane and Ancelotti. Give him to Conte or Poch and could be very interesting.

He did have a big injury, yes, but i still think he was an average player overall even before it.
