Our midfield signing might entirely depend on him now.

If he doesn't come, I fear we'll fuck up by signing someone like Paulinho.

Going to be fascinating.

Imagine he does not come back in Paris on 4th of July then what?

It's a bit shitty attempt to brake Nasser. Imagine if he breaks under pressure and sells him than every time a player would want to leave he would do it in this way.
I don't think Nasser will allow that. IMHO if we want to sign him this for sure is not the way to do it since nobody reacts well on blackmail.

Also if this has become our way of doing business, to let player do the job by himself by refusing to train, than we are truly doomed. Player has to clearly state he wants to leave but refusing to train is just plain stupid. We will accomplish nothing except we'll provoke Nasser who has enough money to let Verratti rot in the stands as long as it takes just to prove his point.

What kind of crap is that?

It's a top secret bid, don't tell anyone. PSG can't know about Barcelona's plan because then it will fail.

Really this is some bullshit rumour

Those things happen when a player really is not happy with the situation and the club doesn't mather what he thinks. It's not the first time. Either way, PSG looks bad.

71 million offer for verrati is too low. PSG will never say yes to that even if Verrati wants to leave. Manu are gonna buy James for 70-80 million and 100mill is properly what Verrati is gonna go for. these prices are getting ridiculous

Agree €80mil for Verratti is way to low in his situation.

Unless he doesn't report for training, I'd say 5% at most.

Might honestly just go in with Busquets - Roberto or Roberto/Iniesta - Busquets - Rakitic next season.

Better than adding another problem in Paulinho.

Paulinho surely wont come.

If Verratti doesnt I think they will push for Dembele and have Messi AM with Busi/Raki or Roberto supprting him but not a fan of that.

If he doesn't show up for training we have 50/50 chance. If he shows up there's no chance we sign him. He has to force his way out, because PSG won't negotiate even if we offer 150M for him. That's how we singed Suarez, Masche and some other players. If doesn't want to sell and player wants to move this is the only way to do. 70M for initial bid is not bad, once you start negotiating the number will change: if you start with 100M you will probably end up paying 150M.

The criticism the board has received for their poor signings the last two season, combined with Madrid's recent success they're forced to make an impact signing.

I just don't see us entering the season with the same expected starting 11, a new rb and more depth. There has to be a player bought that can make a big difference, a RB isn't going to do that, he's just going to bring our team up to standard. It is our midfield signing that will do that. That makes the case for Verratti; he wants to leave and our board has to do everything sign him. At the very least they have to make it CLEAR that a very serious attempt was made to sign him, no bullshit. If they want to save face they must deliver big with this, otherwise the backlash will be huge.

Madrid keep mounting trophies, they're are looking stronger than ever and we keep buying Gomes, Limas, and Paulinhos. I don't think they can be that stupid.

You have to remember that no confidence signatures are being collected. Board has to sign big name player. Otherwise, they are done.
