Instead of preparing him we are sending him away. That is sad.
To be honest it is a smart move. It leaves us light until January market when Mina comes in, but the club probably think they can manage with Umtiti, Pique,Masch, Busquets until then.
Consistant Ligue1 football will really develop Marlon and is better than 4th option at Barcelona where it is clear Valverde is not convinced he is ready to be counted for yet.
Obviously the board are happy with how Umtiti arrived from Lyon and want to give Marlon the opportunity to develop in France, subsequent to Nice's interest.
Clubwise Barcelona can maintain a good relation with Nice opening the door to Sarr and potentially Seri if he has a second great season.
