Yeah, I agree with Flavia...He was the one I wondered about for this match and he's given advantage to a very inconsistent Muniain...I have to say, I'm underwhelmed by Montoya's performance so far
I though he had a pretty good game. Nothing spectacular but solid.
I like Montoya but I do fear for his future at the club, especially in this system. Lucho is having the forwards play narrow so the offensive width is mainly provided by the full backs. He's not that bad going forward but he isn't great either. Perhaps he'll improve this aspect of the game as the season goes on but it looks like Dani is certain to be first choice this season. Or maybe the Dougmeister.
Solid game overall.
Good in defense and showed nice runs in offense. Only thing that I thought was bad was his decision making in the final third. Some useless crosses and misplaced passes. But that are the things I expect someone to do wrong who did not play for a long time.
Very inconsistent performance. Some dumbass crosses and poor touches in attack, some good interceptions in defense. Overall couldn't rely on him to do the right thing when called upon but he wasn't too poor.
He did OK. Still pisses me off that 90% of his passes go either sideways or backwards. Very low risk in his game, he does the job, but not the man to improve the team in the last third. Good 2nd option for the RB spot.
He wasn't phenomenal but just the fact that we didn't have to endure 20-30 crosses today is enough to satisfy me. He also got really close to getting a couple of assists, but it was always Pedro who got the ball and, well, it's Pedro.
