The truth would just be that RM offered a better deal.

Zubi or not, I am not sure Barca would have offered the same. And by better deal, I don't just mean a better salary.

But Zubi will forever be that Scapegoat to hide the whole board incompetence and choices.

The Norwegian agent who accompanied M.Ø and his dad also said to Norwegian media that they reacted negatively to Zubi not being present, especially when discussing the sporting details for Martin Ødegaard.

He denies that they left straightaway though.

Some awesome control, touch and vision he's showing there. Those through-balls at the end there.... Impressive.

Ancelotti and Perez both attended the game, and both were reportedly very pleased with what they saw. Perez actually high-fived a reporter from the Norwegian newspaper "VG" and said "congratulations" to him as he passed by.

Needs to work on his speed&acceleration a bit, but if I remember correctly, his dad seems to be aware of this, and says it will develop in time...

Seeing this kid play for Real Madrid like this reminds me of Isco, like we didn't try hard enough to sign them. Oh what could've been...

That's not something you work on as it's mostly inherent. However if lads younger than 13 take up sprinting they could improve their fast twitch muscle fibres but not by much. There's a reason players like Lucas Moura and Hazard are so rare, if speed/acceleration were something that's easily acquired through training, academies would be farming out speedsters by the truckload.

Chances are his will stay just about the same. It just means he is, stylistically at least, a different type of player.

Isco is not particularly fast but what annoys me is that I also think he has poor acceleration. I think one thing I love about Iniesta is that he can glide from 0 to 100 real quick. When the comparisons to Iniesta are made, I always pictures in my head how much better Isco would be if he had Iniesta's acceleration. This "spring" has been absent in Iniesta lately, I think he got older and doesn't have it anymore, and I think Isco sometimes is not aware of his limitation.

Martin looks slow also but as long as players are aware of their limitation, play accordingly, they should be fine. Isco for instance still performs really well, it is just that Isco's shooting and over dribbling needs to improve and stop, respectively.

Iniesta has high acceleration?

His top speed is slow but Iniesta's spring is quick as fuck man. He can be standing dead on the ball and within a blink of an eye he is past his opponent. He has that glide in his ball control that is phenomenal, it is no longer there but I think he is worn out, thats all.

Isco has pretty decent first-step acceleration (evident by how easily he does dribble opponents, demolished Darmian easily yesterday with this method too) but I think a prime Iniesta was definitely more swift. Ødegaard seems to have pretty damn decent pace considering the position he plays. Even if his top speed isn't crazy, his acceleration and foot-speed are awesome which allows him to glide quickly in tight spaces and pull off quick maneuvers with the ball.

I know Castilla are in Segunda B, but the way he has settled in coming straight from Norway and started so well is still fantastic.

This guy is the real deal. Whether he makes it big or not will be on him, as long as he keep working hard, keep his feet well planted on the ground and RM support him, he has a very good chance.
