They are in talks with an Ajax rep, but there is nothing concrete at all at the moment although I think he will fly off to Amsterdam. De Boer said they want him and that he should come to Ajax because of their academy and since they trust their youth players and would give him a chance.

De Boer also said in the interview with the same Norwegian paper that he would advice him to not go to Real Madrid since they don't give any chances to young players, that they are sent out on loan for forever before getting a chance, if getting a chance at all and not Barca either since the competition is big here.

the academy itself shouldn't be that important for Ødegaard as he wants to play in the first team. however, the fact that ajax often fields young talents ,and the relatively small language barrier make this team ideal for him.
