You said that "suitors will be many" and then said you meant "absolute top clubs".
That makes no sense unless you think there are many absolute top clubs.

My posts should make perfect sense.

If Kovacic is able to perform like this on a consistent basis for Inter next season should he stay I imagine that all top clubs in Europe will be interested in him (almost) much like half of Europe want the likes of Pogba, Verratti etc.

Yes, there are quite a few absolute top clubs out there. Meaning clubs who fight for their league title regularly (almost each season) and for the CL. Inter is not such a club currently. Liverpool neither.

We are discussing irrelevant semantics. Point in case is that Kovacic will become a even more wanted player if he becomes more consistent and performs well for another season at Inter should he stay.

Who outside of us (we are a absolute top club) have been rumored with Kovacic for a prolonged period of time?

Don't change the subject. You clearly implied there are many absolute top clubs. Can you make a list of those many clubs?

Not sure what your problem is? Why should I make any lists? I already gave you a definition of what I consider a top club.

I am ending it here as this "discussion" is clearly going nowhere.

What can easily happen is that he might end up in another club where he would shine and then we would bitch about it like we do when Isco or Modric is in question. Yes it's a risk, but so is every other transfer. Act now, when the talent is still relatively "cheap" and unmolded.
30 million for Kova is excellent price. If we can get under, even better.

great thing about kovacic is that we don't have to worry about him being cup tied. He can stay at inter until January. They are desperate for cash also so we can get him fairly cheap.

Inter is so fucking stupid that they sold Couthino last year and are looking to do the same this year and for that money buy Yaya who is going to be absolutely worthelss next year. He doesnt run at all, he is lazy as shit and he is going to be 33 soon. Would be proud if we save Mateos soul from that wretched club...

Yes, I wanted to say that.

We can either:
1. wait for a player to turn into a proven player like Isco, Koke or Verratti, and then he will either cost 70-80 Millions, plus, they won't be available at all
2. or, we can buy a player like Kovacic for 20-30 Millions. He is not proven on top level yet, but has 50:50 chances to turn into Koke or Verratti
-- again, if we will wait until he proves himself, he will either be worth 50+ Millions, or another team will buy him and he will be the next Verratti, a player whom we will never get

It is hard to get both:
1. a proven player on a top level
2. a young player
3. and a fair price, up to 30 Millions

Neymar wasn't proven at all when we bought him, and we paid 100-ish Millions.

Barca kind of did that with Rakitic, didn't they? How much did Barca pay in the end for his transfer?

He was bought for peanust IIRC, and now worths at least 40M.

If I remember correctly, Rakitic had 1 year left on his contract.
(He signed 4 and a half year contract with Sevilla, and played 3 and a half Seasons there.)
Also, he was 26 years old.

Kovacic has a contract until 2019 and has just turned 21 a few days ago.

Rakitic and Kroos happen not too often.
Plus, we still said NO to 25 Millions-Kroos according to rumours

(Rakitic was worth 2-3 Millions when he was aged as Kovacic.
Also, Modric was also a much weaker player aged 21 than Kovacic...)

TBH, I don't regret not getting Kroos anymore. Rakitic did so great that in the end, I don't care much if at all.

And sure, it does not happen often. But it's the same for Verratti. How many times do you buy a very young player for 10-12M (and PSG poverpaid bc it's psg. Juve IIRC offered half of that if not less), and see him turning world class right after? The rate might like 5% of less.

Yes, But Ney was bossing in Brasil NT and their league, Kova is doing neither. Modric went to Totty after Dinamo but honestly I watched them booth live and I always belived modric is class, always. People like to belive that now everything is even better, Coric, Halilovic, Kovacic, Baliuc, Vlasic...no, Modric is world class you could seen that from the start. Just remember he practically carried Inker to HNL title.
Actually same thing happened in Dinamo as with you explaining La Massia, Dinamo had 3 gems in Eduardo, Corluka and Modric and now suddenly everything they touch is gold. It's not!
Trouble is nobody looked at Modric early on, since "great vision" from Dinamo and awful season they had they had to create new team and Mamic had more luck than a guy who won a lottery 3 time in a row. But from the start Modric was special, the way he moved, the way the ball was safe in his feet, even when Dinamo lost easily against Arsenal Modric was great, remember the game aginst Basel as well. I never ever seen Kovacic bossing like that, never!
It is true, he looks like he has that inner talent, like he will explode every second now and just become super class, but for now at least - it's not happening. Remember Alexis was bossing Seria A and he looked meh in Barca.

Also, we talked about hot and cold matches.
But when I go back to 2004-05 and 2005-06 Seasons, Iniesta was 21 and 22 back then, and he played in his country and in his town.

How I remember those days, I didn't like young Iniesta too much.
He was just meh, imo (how I remember).

I know that whenever he was entering or starting, I was rolling my eyes and saying: Oh no, Iniesta again. A guy has zero of impact on anything. He just plays and doesn't do anything on the field.

And later Iniesta turned into, well=Iniesta

So maybe are some remarks how 19-20-21 aged Kovacic wasn't able to lead the current horrible Inter's team are slightly too harsh.

Modric was very meh, imo, even in Tottenham.
A lot of Tottenham fans were saying that he offers way too little for that kind of expensive signing in terms of goals and assists.
And Modric was already 23-24-25-26-27 in Tottenham.

He was horrible even in his first year in Real, aged 28 already. (he was a flop of the Season, by all media)
He exploded in last 2 Seasons, aged 29 and 30.

Further, Modric usually fails in NT team, isn't it?
He didn't manage to lead our team ever to promote from a group stage, and a lot of people in Croatia said during the last World Cup and Euro: Modric was on vacations again during those tournaments (as if he plays awesome for Real, and just meh and nothing special for NT team).

So, someone could say that Modric was always a pure gold whenever he played, but he wasn't that good in Tottenham and in our NT team.
Kovacic is also meh in NT team and hot and cold in Inter, but... he is only 21.
