Inter are a big club and so is Liverpool. Not everything is about trophies and gloryhunting.

Young players trying to break through, do not care whether a club had a great time in the 60s or the 80s. They care about the money on the contract. Liverpool can pay higher wages than Inter, so the move makes sense for Kovacic. If this move ultimately goes through, then it just shows that there was no interest for Kovacic from clubs such as Chelsea/PSG/United/Real/Barca.

The only players that care about anything other than money, are the super elite players who are guaranteed top dollar no matter what. This type of players tend to choose us or Real Madrid in recent years due to the prestige associated with said clubs and the relatively high probability of winning the Champions League. It used to be Juventus/Milan in the 90s that enjoyed this status more or less.

Sterling has one of the worst shots I've ever seen. His finishing is horrendous, a great goal once in a while doesn't change that.

As someone who watches pretty much every game of Inter and Liverpool, I would prefer him to stay at Inter for the time being. The current levels of both teams are pretty similar though I think Inter edges out on goalscoring capabilities (Icardi is miles better than Balotelli, Lambert and a perma-injured Sturridge). Kovacic needs someone to feed the ball to that will get it in the net. The main advantage of moving to Liverpool would probably be money at this point, as well as more exposure to his name. Though it also depends on what other signings both clubs make to say which will be the more exciting project next season.

If Inter and Liverpool played each other right now I would bet on Inter winning. Both have poor defense but like I said Icardi is superior to all of Liverpool's strikers.

Have you watched Pool this season? They're horrendous.

They were pretty great to watch when they went unbeaten for three months. At the time people were even talking about Liverpool being a serious contender for the CL spots as well. Seems that one freak result at the last day makes a team horrendous throughout a season... ;)

Last season was a great season for Liverpool, not this season though.

Coutinho made the switch when liverpool were in a worse position then now and liverpool have even more money to spend so can pay better wages. It might happen, doubt it though.
