And that is the priority. We don't buy these players just to move them on, but it's good to at least have that as a contingency plan in case things go sour and the player doesn't rise to the challenge. And it's easier to pass on a 30m player and cut losses to a minimum, or even make a 10-15m profit, than to recoup the huge sums paid for super-pricey talents.

Basically, the only way you should pay 100-150m. for a talent is if that talent is at least a De Jong level player. Which is a player who is already established and putting up top class performances at the highest level.

For some reason the club valued Trincao much higher than say Yan Couto and Kubo (his case was a bit more complex, I reckon), just very weird.

Maybe they see something in him. I'd like to think our scouts know way more about him than most of us know seeing him on youtube a couple of times. I didn't even hear of him until today lol.

Does anyone find it weird that we are buying this unknown Brazilian guy and then loaning him to Valladolid, which just happens to be owned by R9? I mean this guys level is LITERALLY Valladolid level, so it's as if we are BUYING a player for Valladolid to help R9's club.

I mean you can't even cover up the shadiness of this deal, dawg. Surely some Brazil schemin going on behind the scenes.

Sickening.

So much strange deals. Not that Laporta didn't do his share but still..

If only the board made more focus on first team planning instead of these 3rd rate transfers.

What did you expect them to do in winter transfer window? I prefer them spending 40m on those future signings than on the likes of Rodrigo.

I expected then to sign a #9 as any decent club would have done when they are left without any.

They failed and sold a forward instead.

We have Griezmann. Why did we pay 120m for him if we don't believe he can step up and score goals when Suarez is out?

There were no good options available with limited money we could use this month/this season and bringing mediocre ones wouldn't help us much either.

AM (who need a striker much more than we do) didn't get Cavani either and Chelsea decided to keep Giroud (who would probably be the best and cheapest short-term solution; though not as cheap as expected because Lazio apparently offered 6M yesterday and were prepared to give him a 2,5 year contract which is one year more than I'd be willing to give im) in the end as well because they couldn't get a replacement.

Bakambu on a 6 month loan with no obligation to buy was a decent move IMO. Although his salary might have been way too high.

I can easily see a great talent in those highlights. He looks understanding regarding technique and passing. Lots to learn tactically and difficult to judge him regarding stamina, pace etc. Will be nice to follow him.

Not totally against this.

So he’ll be playing for Valladolid till the end of the Season?

Looking forward to seeing how he does in the league.

the club is doing a bunch of random signings now, that they once wanted, because FIFA will change the transfer rules next season to limit you to 8 movements (between entries, exits, loans etc)

The limit is just for loans (for players above 21).

When will be his first game? The more I see and read about him, I’m starting to see him as our Casemiro/Fabinho. He has that profile.

I have a good feeling about this
