Fuck no. The way he expressed his interest in real and his unprofessionalism. No way, if mats becomes worse than pinto I would still prefer mats.

The current system is fine. Mats can play cup matches until he's ready to be the main keeper.

Might as well swap both if the current management are gonna stick MAtS to cup games and not even loan him out to play regularly. People can say what they want, but there are just way too many examples of GKs looking shaky and all that and then looking like a completely different player altogether when playing every week that is convincing enough for me.

Oblak and Navas are recent examples. Then you have DDG himself. And Courtois. Even Neuer who had his fair share of blunders during his early days. Heck even a fellow German in Leno has done very well and been ironing out his flaws after playing regularly and he was behind MAtS in the pecking order a year or two ago.

I agree mats needs game time but bravo is performing really well.

Of course he is, which is why I wanted them to loan tS out. Bravo 1st choice all comp. Masip 2nd GK. Then they could've promoted Ondoa(Cameroon's 1st choice) as 3rd GK since he's pretty much gonna leave in a year or so anyway alas it doesn't seem like the people in charge got much of a vision for the future.

Like Chelsea did with Courtois and Cech when they identified the former as their future GK, but also knew he had to play to grow so they loaned him out and only brought him back when he was ready to replace the latter. It's stupid that Chelsea handled it better than we're doing right now.

The loan sounds good but there's some problems. First we need a club for him, he has to accept it too. If the club is good and he does well he might want to stay there permanently. If it's a Mickey Mouse club he won't play at the required level. Also any club he plays for wont have the same style as barcelona, and the keeper of barcelona has to do certain things he won't do at other clubs, like sweeping and playing from the back.

If we can find an ideal club like chelsea did with Courtois in Atleti that would be great, but I dont know of a good club for him.

That's true.

I think Valencia would've been interested with Diego Alves being out until new year at the very least(they just signed an Aussie GK though). Maybe Sevilla too.

Would've been able to play CL football too that way.

Ideally, we should have let him to play for Gladbach for 2 more seasons. Barcelona isn't exactly at a phase when the club affords to play Stegen to slowly develop him, game by game.

We would again have only 1 Gk then.

If Bravo gets injured, we are screwed.
Masip? No thanks.

I would loan Mats if we can buy another 2nd GK who will stay on the bench and play only Spanish cup matches.

We can always look for older GK who would accept bench role .sort like we did with Pinto (who was solid for us for his 1st 3 year ,really hate how people mock him here) .we can take another GK back in the loan deal too
Masip ain't bad btw .he was one of the best GKs in Segunda in his last year

The stars have aligned... Next year we buy DDG for pennies and let him compete with Bravo. We loan out Mats til Bravo is ready to retire. The hate from Madrid will reach a new level lol

I have no problem with loaning Mats, if we buy an older Gk so that we can have 2 experienced/reliable Gks, if needed.
Barca is more important than a single player and his career, for me, as a fan.

I don't have too much trust in Masip.
Imagine Bravo injured and Masip needs to play in CL semifinal against Bayern on Allianz arena.
I don't want to imagine that scenario.

Masip ain't bad GK though Ideally you would want someone better
Loaning MATS is for better of both the club and the player .you simply don't buy someone who is one of the most expensive 10 players in his position just to be your back up for 4-5 years . nevermind the fact that if Stegen continue as 2nd choice for sometime he will ask to leave .he already has tough competition with the likes of Zeller/Horn/Leno/Trapp for 2 spots as Neuer back up with NT and every player want to play in NT major tournaments
tbh I can see it happening next summer .may be Liverpool will be interested .may be some bigger clubs in Germany like Schalke .but it seem he will continue with his role as cup GK this season .and it won't be good for his development if he continued like that for more years .hence won't be good for the club either as it is ruining an asset to the club

Getting De Gea after this farce with Real Madrid would be hysterical... another slap in Madrid's face... hope it will happen
