Should try to see if Villarreal are interested in a loan or buyback. They gave plenty of minutes to Manu Trigueros who has a similar physique, albeit a bit taller. He is reaching 30 now.

He will have more than one option for a loan if he desires more minutes. Real Betis are obsessed with our youth and could see him getting a lot of minutes there. I see Villareal as a good destination for him too.

Puig has to leave, he obviously has talent but its obvious Koeman doesnt really rate him, so Puig has to leave for his own career

He is obviously waiting out the election and the eventual change of manager. With someone like Pep, Xavi or indeed Art Vandelay as a manager he will be the first in the lineup

You are in cloud cuckoo land.

Would not be ahead of any of these players in a Pep team.

Foden is hundred times better and Pep still says he need to calm down, no rush. Puig is not even selected by Spain youth coaches.

Xavi is his only hope since they have good relationship. But only if Font wins.

This guy is 21 and will turn 22 in 5 months and still permanently on the bench. Koemann is now the third coach who doesnt trust him. Pedri and Illiax are both younger and newer to this club and both are ahead of him. Does he have some talent? Yes but it seems its not enough.

We need to loan him out to see if there is some hope but i fear he doesnt want to.

Puig is a great talent but it's really going to be tough for him here.

Pedri and now Moriba and you have the likes of De Jong as well. Busi is in his twilight years but different position and Pjanic I don't expect him to be here next season.

If he stays at Barca this summer it is a lack of ambition on his part and he will just enjoy being associated with the club.

There is zero chance top players who want to prove themselves get to 22 having played a handful of games at first team level and are happy with it.

Either too scared to go to another team or just likes being part of Barca more than trying to show what can do on the park.

Even when Xavi comes, he will play the first 2-3 games, and will be back on the bench. I don't believe that Xavi is so limited to think that possession is everything, and that you can achieve success with only small weak technical players, he will realize fast that our other young midfielders are much more useful than Puig.

Players like Pedri, Ilaix and Frenkie offer so much more than him, and it would be foolish not to prioritise their development over Puigs.

What I have been thinking. If Xavi gets with modern times and Puig still lacks the physicality why would one be so sure he becomes a regular under Xavi?

Not even mention that Koeman (or a new coach) probably will try to bring new midfielders this summer.

Koeman: "Players like Pedri, Ilaix, Riqui, Ara?jo and Mingueza are the future of the club."

Koeman's trust of the youngsters has been admirable to be honest. Many a manager would be lining up with Busi-Pjanic-FDJ all season long.

Yeah he has put on Ilaix last three games when game still in balance.

Showing huge trust in the young players more so than any Barca coach can think of.

Because Font said so. And it seems that Xavi and Puig have a close relationship.

I dont get this obsession with Xavi tbh. The way people hype him it?s as if he?s this master tactician that will take the club to another level. Of course he was a great player but as a coach it?s left to be seen.
