He needs a loan but he doesn't want to go. He will play another year in 3rd division and that will be the end for him. Can't understand this stupid youngsters. They are acting like it's beneath them to play for a mid table team, they'll rather stay here and play against Badalona or Sebadell.

People are expecting he will be next Iniesta or Xavi while reality is we don't know if he is even capable of playing a serious top tier football or not.
Just look at Olmo's example. He is one year older and he has already played Europa league, he could also play CL football this year and he was one of the best u21 Spain players in the last EURO. What will be the result of this? Olmo will probably have a much better career and could end up playing for Spain NT one day while Puig will end up as a sub in some mid table spanish team. He needs to wake up because if he if he loses one more year he won't ever succeed here.
Some La Masia youngsters are taking Messi, Xavi or Iniesta career path as their reference point and that's just wrong. How on Earth are they expecting to compete for a place in the team with De Jong who has CL semifinal an NT football behind him? Next year another "De Jong" will emerge and Puig will still play against Badalona and people will be fuming because he is our "best" AM solution while the truth is far from that.
To sum this up sitting on the bench or playing third tier football for entire year is a career suicide for a talented 20y old player.

That is why I never blame the players that they chose money over football or sth whenever they leave La Masia before promotion to the B team.
Barcelona nowdays is one of the worst clubs for youngsters to properly develop as a player and if they are confident of their own talents, they should leave Barça for more competitive playing minutes and try to come back when they are more mature as a footballer. Aleñá should have also left at least two years ago and he is not making a progress at all in the first team now.

But it is highly unlikely that Aleñá will even get enough playing times this season due to overcrowded midfielders.
So even if Riqui takes Aleñá's spot, that won't mean anything tbh except that he can regularly train with the first team players.
I think Alena made barely any progress because hes not talented enough. Never saw any greatness in him.

But if Puig is good enough he will get playing time - he would be our only attacking midfielder. At least vs weaker teams/when we are chasing a result. Having Alena/Puig battle it out would impact both negatively.

We have to thin out the midfield by sending these younger players on loan. I mean, what is the point keeping them. Even if we get an 18 year old Messi, he would be on the bench playing 2 games a year with Valverde as coach. The guy is totally shit at rotating the squad and plays the same slow as fuck gala 11 always ....From looking at him coach for the past couple of years, how many chances has he given players other than his gala 11 exactly???
TBH I actually believe that if we had an 18 year old Messi up and coming, he'd have been benched by Valverde.
I dont think you can ignore an 18 years old Messi, would be an achievement. But hey, its Valverde. Same for a 21 years old Iniesta. If Puig is roughly as talented he will get his chances. If not, who cares - its a cynical business. Im just sure Alena is at best likely to follow Robertos trajectory.

Yeah but that's also a factor. Puig has eyes and brain so he can clearly conclude he won't get a chance this season so why the fuck is he choosing to play a 3rd tier football instead of going on a loan? Next year when people start complaining he didn't get a chance they should be reminded it was his choice to play for Barca B entire 2019/20 season.
