If you REALLY watched the game today and you're not beeing naive - now you know why he came cheap. Never impressed me - sloppy passing and weak defending. Maybe has to play a couple more matches and can convince me, but I doubt it.

his passing was alright, he tried a few killer passes at maybe the wrong times but he was always looking to attack. I loved his hustle cutting out balls played to his winger.

that blind pass was atrocious but it was clearly a brainfart. I'll allow him that as it's his first lliga game. his defending in general was alright, let's not forget that last ditch tackle he made when piqué and puyol fell asleep and allowed whatshisface through on goal.

Of course he's only backup (thank g*d for that). But some people see him as an extra attacking option against teams that play ultra-defensively, which imo would be suicide when counter attacking. He gave away the ball when Valdes had to clear and also just before he got injured - 2 very bad plays.

abidal is more solid defensively so i would trust him agains the tougher teams but maxwell is better going forward

He just fixed his own mistake, he gave away the ball with a very bad pass earlier. Sorry Meta, but I'm not a fan and there was much better options.
