Yayyy a Bayern disucussion :)
Barca at his peak would have beaten Bayern at their best.
In the end it doesn't matter since we'll beat them next season.
Wrong thread btw.

I'm really not a fan of speculative stuff like that, since it's just fanboi-bs without any basis in facts, especially since few take opposing styles, form at that time etc. into account.
That's why I was very cautious and used words like "potentially" while the phrase in question was even in brackets, but still some took offense.

And yes. So we should head back to discussing the player :)

Because it was a stupit claim. Basically, the same Bayern team from last year was ripped apart a few weeks ago by Real Madrid. This never happened to Pep's Barcelona. Never have we lost a game in our prime like your 0-5 against Madrid.

Pep's best friend died a few days before the match. It could have affected the outcome.

No, it couldn't. Bayern was lucky not to be 0-3 down at half time on Bernabeu. Tito Vilanova's death had nothing to do with that game. They were just outclassed like we were against Bayern last year. Except this Bayern is supposedly in it's prime, and we weren't.

Inside information? :) Well of course if he is that good as people here are saying then he won't be overlooked neither by City or Bayern or even RM.

Yep, a friend of mine is working for L'Equipe, famous and reliable newspaper in France. He knows a lot of agents in France, among them Benatia's.
Still hope that he won't end up in Manchester. Zubizarreta and our staff really need to buy him, he's an amazing centre back.

I am not so sure. It is not like Pep didnt get any updates on his condition prior to his death. He probably knew far more than wasnt out in the public.

I still think we will sign Mertesacker for 30m. I will be pleasantly surprised if we do a better deal instead.
