The point is that it's harder to assess him if he's shielded well. Same with gks who have nothing to do. Hard to judge how he'd fare in dangerous situations if he doesn't get in any. Hypothetically speaking.

Where do you find those unshielded CBs drawing tackle after interveption after clearance? If you look carefully we may be the only team that doesnt shield its CBs heck even thiago silva is shielded, motta, verrati and matuidi are all defensively astute

We, Barca, can't both have the greatest attack AND defense - something has to suffer, some compromise has to be done - that compromise is that our defense sucks if they break through our pressing. The sad part lately is that neither does our attack shine, our pressing is gone and our midfield and forwards is loosing passes and dribbles left and right - hence our already makeshift defense suffers even more. Our defense with Alba and Alves as wingers and VERY attack minded CM's (and lets be honest, without fantastic defensive capabilities) is suffering when we lose possession every minute or two, when we don't help each other out creating triangles for the next pass and than don't even care about pressing = DISASTER!
Have Tata told the players what to do or they don't give a fu*k? That is the million euro question. Hope we find out soon and not read about it in five years when somebody writes their memoirs. Our players, coaches, staff, scouts and board all need a cold shower and a lot of strong coffee. Only buying Benatia will do fu*k all, but it's a good start!
