He is a good player, not top top class but so what, not every player has to be world class. From what I have seen of him he seems to be a team player, has a good mentality, works hard and is a fighter which we need desperately. He is no less talented than Pedro who fit perfectly at Barca and he will be relatively cheap.

Even though he struggled at Man Utd I wouldn't read too much into it, Gnabry struggled at Arsenal but is wonderful for Bayern, you should not write off players too early.

Right. But the least compromising system with Messi here is to have Messi as ST (since he won't be working defensively so better be at ST than AMR) and the wingers and Wijn overlapping.

Memphis is too focal in attack which he just won't get with Messi here.

Why not. I think it is just what we need.

Strong goalscorer like Haaland or Lewa. Someone who will occupy space between 2 oppositions. Someone who will finish goals from Messi chances.

Last thing we need is someone like Lautaro or Griezz in ST position, who will get in midfield and leave oppositions defense to relax , and then we have 6 players around the box doing nothing against park the bus teams.

He is impressive unlike Wijnaldum, but as you can see right now Memphis occupies the same space as Messi does for us. So its a big no, hasn?t played as a left winger since his Man Utd days.

He's playing as a striker today so obviously he's more centrally but he's still much closer to the goal than Messi is playing these days. I still believe he could be a useful signing.
