We need to give him a deadline.

Cannot wait the entire summer for him to make up his mind.

This dude should be happy that a club like barca has interest on him and shouldnt try to get a better contract, if we wouldnt be so bad now he could only dream of an offer from barca

He's just waiting to see what will happen with Koeman. If he stays Memphis will sign here fast. Otherwise it could take some time.

And it's not like we have all that many other options.

I sense we are also stalling too. Because we probably need players to leave before we can bring them back.

Need to budget Messi new wage.

Need to sort out the managerial issue.

Basically we are in a mess. But I trust in Laporta. He is proven in crisis management from the first stint.

Although the worrying thing is that we are closer to our maximum earning potential than back in 2003 where we had alot of untapped financial growth potential.

Laporta's first stint was nowhere this bad. We have no clue how Laporta is going to sort this. Our net debt was only something like 150m euros when he first took over in 2003. Actually, when he left, he actually increased our net debt to 450m euros. He also increased our salary intake by a lot from 2003 to 2010.

I've said what I've needed to say about Laporta, but I don't think he can fix this mess..... and if he can, it won't be by much. He's banking Messi saving us. I have no clue what we're going to do once Messi leaves the club or retires.

income is way better than back then also. as bad as bartomeu was, he knew how to bring money in. too bad he didn't knew what to do with it and splashed on the wrong players.

laporta has more ways right now to increase our income than in 2003. if he is smart he should do well. if not, suits will take over again.

Salaries naturally rise when team does well. Now we are at the worst moment, because we are paying past it players salary for their achievements not their level.

Laporta is about to fix that.

Can't expect drastic changes. He is betting on Messi saving our season, but lots of small steps need to be made. Aguero and Garcia came for lower wages, we'll focus on offloading big earners who don't contribute much. Will be a much healthier position for the team.

The big challenges lie in non-sporting matters.

Barcelona are still in talks with Memphis Depay as a free agent. Negotiations ongoing and progressing on personal terms - potential contract until June 2023 or 24.

It also depends by Koeman future. And... Wijnaldum will join Bar?a soon, confirmed.

We're on our way.
