We need to give him a deadline.
Cannot wait the entire summer for him to make up his mind.
I sense we are also stalling too. Because we probably need players to leave before we can bring them back.
Need to budget Messi new wage.
Need to sort out the managerial issue.
Basically we are in a mess. But I trust in Laporta. He is proven in crisis management from the first stint.
Although the worrying thing is that we are closer to our maximum earning potential than back in 2003 where we had alot of untapped financial growth potential.
Laporta's first stint was nowhere this bad. We have no clue how Laporta is going to sort this. Our net debt was only something like 150m euros when he first took over in 2003. Actually, when he left, he actually increased our net debt to 450m euros. He also increased our salary intake by a lot from 2003 to 2010.
I've said what I've needed to say about Laporta, but I don't think he can fix this mess..... and if he can, it won't be by much. He's banking Messi saving us. I have no clue what we're going to do once Messi leaves the club or retires.
Salaries naturally rise when team does well. Now we are at the worst moment, because we are paying past it players salary for their achievements not their level.
Laporta is about to fix that.
How is he gonna change that? Contracts are binding.
Salaries lower for more years, didn't they do that with few players already?
