Memphis Depay

Yes, but their squad is getting strong, and it will click for lvg as some point I think.

Depay is a good signing for MU, buying great young talent and moulding it. He is like a more skilled version of Bale, but not quite as powerful, but then again, different to a Hazard type. I think if they can sign 3-4 more player players they will be the best bet to challenge chelsea, with arsenal.

Of course but I can't really spot the common thread. Maybe Van Gaal will surprise me on this front during the summer transfer window and next season.

I still believe that you are at least 1-2 seasons away from competing with the "big boys" in the CL at least.

Considering the poor state of the Premier League of late you might challenge Chelsea next season as they are the team to beat.

Liverpool have been a laughing stock for 25 years in a row (what a rival to have, lol), Arsenal are good old Arsenal (professional bottlers) while Man City looks like a team that is falling apart. It's basically Agüero and everyone else. Pellegrini is a limited manager too. They need to replace him and invest this summer.

That leaves Chelsea.

Well, better United where his career can die rather than RM, Barca, or Bayern where'd he'd be competing in a final spot every year.

Not to mention that Bayern actually need someone like him. But I guess that one is on Bayern's bosses, not Depay...

That's a good transfer but what will happen with the 80 million euros flop (so far) di María? I can't believe that Man Utd paid that much for him in the first place.

Man Utd keeps spending and spending with close to no results to show for.

Our games against City and Liverpool proved that we've come a long way from "Striving to play like City"..

Bitteness in here

Bitter of what exactly? Do you see bitterness (lol) in post 107 and 116?

Depay would warm the bench at my club.

That's not what I was alluding to. What I wrote is that I can't spot Van Gaal's common thread. What is his vision exactly? Whenever I have watched Man Utd they have looked disorganized and as a tactical mess. That might change next season though.

You are only in the top 4 because your opponents are even worse (Liverpool and Tottenham).

Considering the huge amount of money that you have spent I am not impressed. I doubt that anyone is.

Would have thought Bayern went for him, but i guess not.

Clubs like PSG, Bayern, Liverpool etc. were probably interested but Man Utd always looked like his choice considering the fact that Van Gaal is there. That he can earn quite a lot does not hurt either nor playing in the PL. It seems to be the main league of interest for the people of the Netherlands. I might be wrong though.

I doubt that Depay would fancy running around in the Ligue 1 or Bundesliga.

Depay is not guranteed to start at United either. It's one for the future, the type of signing we usually make well and a good move for him rather the likes of Bayern where he's likely to become the next Xherdan Shaqiri.

Juvens is a tad bitter haha, no idea why but oh well.

United or Bayern were the best destinations for him but it seems Bayern were not that interested in him.

Coaches doesnt usually stay very long, PSG or Bayern is at a much higher level than United, and Bundesliga probably isnt that much weaker than PL.

I'm not bitter, just not threatened by United. As we've all seen with Falcao, Di Maria, and even players like De Bruyne that were able to escape, the EPL is quite confused on what to do tactically and technically to bring the best out of what could be great players.

Have you seen us play recently? LVG's tactics are obvious these days and our team is playing possession based system that Bayern played under him. The only problem is that that system's problem with parked buses is well documented now and most teams will park the bus and hit us on the counter(last 3 games)..
