How many games goals assists this season so far? and what is the record? any info?

80 goals and 36 assists for MSN so far. I don't know which is the record, but last season they scored 122, and had 55 assists.

122 is the record, so they have to score 43 more goals in the 21 to 26 games that remain of the season. Should be doable :lucho:

They broke both the trident record (118) and the calendar year one (178) right ?

So yeah, if they all stay fit and we go far in UCL they should be able to break their own record (122), and with Messi being out 2months :wow:

In the treble winning season last year we had Neymar who had a great synergy with Messi. His runs behind the defenders of the opposition were almost always picked up by Messi with his passes,. Combine that with his clinical finishing and you had someone who was a nightmare for every team. Neymar really exploded this season though , he has been amazing throughout this season and became a complete player for me. Creating chances , scoring goals and being a constant danger when he has the ball at his feet. He was running the show in the absence of Messi.

There was alot of doubt when it came to signing Suarez after the biting incident in the WC resulting in a 4 month-ban. Would he bite someone again ? Would he be able to adapt and what many presumed play on the RW and be succesful ? He had a slow start when he finally was allowed to play. As the season progressed though , he became better and finished the season with 25 goals and 21 assists , which is amazing for a player who lacked a quite bit of playing time. While this season isn't done yet , It's safe to say Suarez has been performing better than last season. He is firing on all cylinders , scoring in almost every game and from every angle. They way he uses his body to shield the ball combined with his shooting technique is really amazing to see.

Messi last season has been the man who ran show and was one of the big reasons that Barca won the treble. Unfortunatetly this season he has been struggling with a injury but he is slowly playing back to his best. In the amount of time he was absent though , Neymar and Suarez really picked it up and were a big part of us winning against Real in the Bernabeu without Messi.

When I see the synergy these 3 players and have and the plays they pull off is just simply astonishing. The most important aspect for me why this trident is working so well , is how selfless they are playing and putting the team above individual glory. You would think a trident with so much talent would never work this well , but it does and I am really happy to be ablte to watch this Barca every week. Hope this last for as long as possible.

A quick comparison to other trios:

MSN 86 goals so far
BBC 68
Auba, Reus, Miki 63
Lewa, Müller, Costa/Robben 58

Our guys really picked it up in the last months. Still very impressive by Dortmund considering two of their goalscorers are usually playing in midfield. Note also that we had way more games than RM.

Beyond goals and stats. How do you calculate what Messi did yesterday, or Neymar rainbows, or Suarez pressing like madman.

What has that to do with my post? Just wanted to show some stats. In the beginning of the season Dortmund's trio was scoring like crazy.

I'd say pretty impressive by BBC, considering that Bale hasn't played a lot of games this season.
But then again, Messi was out as well.

The Real Madrid trio has their goals concentrated in fewer matches and practically no goals against qualified opposition, while the Barcelona trio has their goals spread out over far more games and their goals winning almost all matches aginst qualified opposition. The difference is really huge this season and it was equally huge last season.

Yeah, over 40% of their goals have been scored in 5 matches against mighty Asspanyol, Malmö and 9 man Rayo.
Best trio in the world :worthy:
