When was he brought on against tougher opponents? Didn't play in El Classico, he started against AM when Busi was out, started both games against Juve was great away and average at home with the rest of the team and he didn't play in any of the games against Sevilla.

Game was basically over when he came on, what do you guys expect him to do? Just start him in a few La Liga games to give him some consistency. I still believe he had more good than bad games when he has started. He's not an impact sub from the bench so shouldn't really be used that way though.

Well I consider playing against Juve twice, coming on against PSG twice, playing against Atletico tougher opposition than getting overlooked for decent minutes against the likes of Elche/Osasuna away. But that's just me.

He gets bit part minutes against minnows so lacks the rhythm needed when thrown on in these games.

He came on against PSG around 80th minute in both games. If you want him to have any impact then start him or at least bring him on early in 2nd half. If he's bad then he deserves criticism (but Busi has been poor for years and he's still regularly starting, lol), but hard to fairly judge him based on a few cameo appearances.

I'd like to see him start 2-3 consecutive games alongside FDJ and Pedri and see how he'll do, that's all. And maybe use him in a more advanced role with FDJ-Pedri behind him.

I am saying he's not been utilized correctly to have any impact in these games. He's been underwhelming but never gets the minutes needed to make the necessary impact or get any rhythm. He is much better from the off when he's allowed to dictate the rhythm of the game, as seen vs Juve away. But playing him in bit-part roles is just a waste and does not suit him whatsoever. Even in La Liga he's either overlooked or gets 15 minutes here or there.

Ultimately, my point is why does Koeman turn to him in these moments if he doesn't seem to trust him enough to give him regular game time.
