Radio Catalunya and Matteo Moretto both reported that he lowered his salary by 60% of the remainder of the contract, from 8M net to 3,2M net, Besiktas paying 2,75M of it ( Barca pays the remainder 0,45M net - 0,9 gross) this season, and if he returns he?s still gonna get 3,2M, so it?s gonna be easier to sell him next season. So, we have two bad options, but one saves us money (like 3ME if initial reports are true). Not to mention that he has shown a willingness to play. Easy choice. If the reports about a 60% wage cut are true, and Besiktas pays most of his adjusted salary, then there's no problem at all.

The club treats many of their players with disrespect and expects other players to respect them or lower their wages when they need, a class act from Pjanic but personally, I think most players may have opted to run their contract and still collect their massive pay check and I wouldn't blame them at all

Hmmp, that sounds weird, because usually, Koeman has voiced his opinion quite clearly, even publicly. In general, he doesn't seem to shy away from telling the truth.
