I hope that you elaborate your choice further. Not because there was ever any shortage of achievements but because in the eyes of many cules he remains controversial.

For me it is God, always has been and always will be. Though it's not possible to compare with Gamper.

The supporters are the most important people in the clubs history.

Without supporters, a club does not exist.

For me he was the push that brought about your current greatness . Alot will say Im wrong but United had Cantona who started are reign of English greatness and you had Ronaldinho he was amazing and its a shame he didnt have the passion to push after achieving what he achieved.

how can ronaldinho be the most important in our history? our history is nearly 110 years he was only influncing like 3-4 of them it is sad if people beleive him to be the most important without Gamper barca wouldnt exist without cruff we would not be the big club we are today

Ronaldinho has created the monster that is now your team he has given you the driving force needed to make you in my eyes untouchable football wise.

Cruyff was a genuis without doubt one of the games greats but in terms of impact on how your club is heading Ronaldinho is the man.

What utter bullshit! I wouldn't even know where to begin to say where all you're wrong so I'll just drop it. Advice: If you don't know our history don't talk about it.

Firstly, few can truly judge as we barely know how important Gamper really was to Barca. We wouldn't have been made or survived later on without him, it's true and perhaps because of that it should be him but what El Salvador did is nothing short of amazing. He brought hope back. You just can't match that. He was so effortlessly and perhaps even unnknowingly amazing in that he helped Catalonia become alive and proud again. And the Catalan spirit and our philosophy of football grew with a flame anew.

There is no one in our history that I know of, who was able to do such a thing. And for that, He is God.

Some people speak as though Barça didn't exist until 2004 and it's quite depressing to be honest. Ronaldinho had three great seasons on the pitch but that's it, how can you possibly disregard the other 107 years of Barça's history? It's absurdly ignorant. Ronaldinho became a great player at Barça because he flourished in the formation and system that CRUYFF made our trademark and under the manager that CRUYFF told Laporta to bring in. Snyde makes superb observations regarding the political significance of Cruyff's presence at FCB as a player at a time when Spain and Catalunya were undergoing massive changes and he captured that superbly by giving Barça one of its most famous nights by masterminding the 5-1 demolition of madrid at the Bernabéu. Ronaldinho did superb things for Barça, we'll always be grateful, but to call him the most important person for Barça since 1899 is an insult to those who went before and whose presence is so keenly felt to this day.

I think that in RECENT history both Ronaldinho and Riijkard should be considered very important figures, we'd had a bad patch before Riijkard at least, came along, and with Ronaldinho as the trademark figure of that era, he's got to be considered aswell. In the entirety of history, Ronaldinho is one of the best players, but not the most important. Cruyff for me has to win this, he made our style of play, what we now associate with Barcelona, beautiful football. As a manager and player he was fantastic, he's brought about the Barca we have today in the long term.

I chose Nuñez for best president because it was him that really put us on the map and made us a footballing giant in Europe. He also saw the clubs most successful years, not just with the football team. It was also him that brought Cruijff in as manager and gave us the dream team. It's no coincidence why he was president for a good 22 years, I think it was that many. Anyway Laporta is doing a good job so far. I mean he has brought us 2 champions leagues in his reign. Something Nuñez was unable to do.

I think we can all agree on who is the most hated president in our history.

What's your opinion on the controversies surrounding him? (Nunez)

He was just a very stubborn old man in the end. Not liked by all but there's no denying that we achieved great things under him.

Not much detail I can really go into myself, a lot of the history I've learnt about Barça has come through my father. I mean I'm sure I could look on the internet for greater detail but I'm not that interested tbh.

I don't mean that to come across as sounding rude btw.

Don't have a go at Snyde mate. He's a very knowledgable culé & a good member of this forum. I'm pretty sure he's a big fan of Cruyff's & I can understand his frustration when people say Dinho was more important to our club. I'm also a huge fan of Cruyff (& Dinho btw) and to be honest, I think he's the most important person in the club's history.
