It was between Turan, Muller, and Alaba for me overall.
Turan is absolutely vital for Atletico yet Falcao always gets the credit for it.
Thomas Muller has been an unbelievably consistent and clutch player forever yet has never been lauded as one of the best young players in football despite getting the golden boot at the WC at age 20. It's his intelligence that sets him apart, not technique or physicality.
Alaba is an even better young defender than Varane in terms of consistency yet he NEVER gets considered as one of the best youngsters in football. Hell I'd say he's one of the best fullbacks in the world, let alone one of the best youngsters.
I went with Arda because the average fan doesn't even know who he is. Most people do know (or seriously should know) Muller and Alaba is known because of his CL appearances, but Turan has never been displayed on the highest stage so people don't even know him, which really sucks considering how good he is.
