Yes. Let's transfer him, along with Alena, Todibo and Perez without bringing anybody in.
So we've transferred 2 defenders, 1 midfielder, 1 attacker and lost Suarez for the entire season due to injury.
To summarize, in January, we've lost 5 players and bought in zero.
Makes sense, dawg.
Todibo -> Araujo
Wague -> No-one
Alena -> Puig
Carlos Perez -> Collado
Suarez -> Griezmann to ST
I'm with you man. But if we look above then it is not as bad as first seems. No one is covering Wague, but then again he is our third choice RB. I have no qualms with him going if he is going to get quality minutes.
Same with Todibo as with the opportunities he has had then why not give those opportunities to Araujo who is match-ready. Sure Todibo has a higher ceiling than Araujo, but Araujo IMO is more prepared to step into a CB duo than Todibo tactically right now.
Everyone was calling for Puig to move to the first team, and now the window is there for him with Alena gone and Setien here. Again Alena with first team minutes in Betis can only be beneficial.
Collado is a more intelligent player than Perez and he is actually decent at AMR (unlike AML where Valverde gave him a few minutes). He may surprise some people if he gets chances. He is the type of profile who with confidence (Setien looks like he is more open to incorporating fringe players than Valverde was) can combine well with Messi. He has the chance to go the way of Pedro or go the way of Cuenca. And if it is the latter, then even that is enough for his role for half a season.
Lastly Griezmann signing should of been as Suarez replacement and now he has the chance to prove it. If he and Messi swap positionally during matches then we may see him explode.
The only gripe I have is that Bakambu was a wise move as an impact striker for 6 months. I used to watch this guy regularly train at the yellow submarine and this guy is a killer in small spaces.
