The only player who gets fouled more often than Munir in Europe is Neymar. Geniunely surprised to see that stat. Why the hell does he get fouled so much?

He's actually been playing well for Alaves as of late. Commentary in our game against them wouldn't shut up about them benching their hottest striker and when the lead disappeared he was the one they turned to. Should have gotten a penalty shortly after coming on too. Not too surprising if he's quietly convincing Valverde he deserves another chance.

He has contract till 2019 but you're right about the reason why we want to renew him. I don't believe we have any longterm plans keeping him otherwise we'd probably offer him renewal for more than just one additional season.
He's playing well for Alaves so maybe we think we can get more for him with a year added to his contract. But what will happen in the end (if he'll want to renew knowing what our plans are) we'll just loan him for one more season. I guess something like this will happen. In June and July we'll ask for unreasonable price like 20M which no club will pay. There will be offers of maybe 5-7M which we'll reject hoping to get more. Then clubs interested in him will sign other players and we'll have to loan him again at the end of August.

Good to hear he's doing so well. Will be interesting to see if he can maintain this over the rest of the season. Maybe he will have a place here next season if he does.
